A few weeks ago, I purchased a new DD2 base, which I’m using with my existing 2.5X steering wheel and the original shifter paddles.
As soon as I got the base, I installed the 462 driver, which included a firmware update for the DD2. Everything went smoothly, and I started using it in iRacing.
The experience has been exactly the same as @Bartosz Nejman described:
Every 100-200 shifts, there’s one upshift that isn’t detected. It’s very frustrating.
I followed a similar process:
New cable, tried every USB port, detached and reattached all connectors on the QR1, tightened everything to spec, reconnected every cable on the QR on the base side, and so on…
Nothing resolved the issue.
I’m glad I found a forum post, as I downgraded to the 455 driver last night and also rolled back the base firmware.
I’ll continue testing and will report back, but based on what’s been shared here, it looks like this will solve the issue.
would you kind enough to provide me a dowloadable link for the afor mentioned Firmware I am having the same issue with multiple wheels and I cant find the older firmware.

Good evening,
I had the same problem with this setup:
Windows 11
Podium Wheel Base DD2 QR2
Podium Steering Wheel Porsche 911 GT3 R
Driver firmware DD2 462
Base firmware 3.1.0.7
Motor firmware 3.0.0.2
Steering Wheel Hub: 6
Button Module: 24
Wireless QR: 7
FanaLab 2.01.54
I downgraded to driver 455 and now I have this:
driver firmware DD2 455
Base firmware 3.0.4.3
Motor firmware 3.0.0.2
Steering Wheel Hub: 6
Button Module: 24
Wireless QR: 7
FanaLab 2.01.54
Everything seems to be working fine again. I think Fanatec should let us know when they have fixed this problem and we can update our computers again.
Thank you all for showing me this solution.
