yes, but none actually tell that 15Nm can hold that long like 12nm does and because off exact same size i doubt that you can hold 30 min at 15nm but instead it may drop to 11 nm like Graphics show
It can. Trust me, the CS DD+ can hold the 15 Nm consistent like the CS DD can hold the 12 Nm. It wont derate over time.
Graphics show no different, only other brand DDs power derate over time, not the power of the CS DD and CS DD+.
I can understand the scepticism though as its new to the simracing world and quite a huge achievement that there is no derating with higher temperatures over time.
It shows it can hold the 12 Nm basically forever (or in that graph you might mean at least 60 mins). Or do you mean the veeeeery slight drop to 11.8 Nm or what it is in the absolute EXTREME scenario of a Stall Test which nobody will ever face with during normal driving? :D
Nobody will hold a wheel in a position where it will ever drop the Holding Torque, rest assured. Even oval racers dont have the 12 Nm constantly applied over 60 minutes. You will get the 12 Nm Holding Torque in every lap, no matter how many hours you drive. It wont drop. And the same will apply to the Plus model with the 15 Nm.
As said, I can understand your scepticism because no other brand DD can do this, but I am sure reviews will analyse this and prove it to you :)
i to know general how todo this, you simply add more powerfull motor and cap that for 15/12 or what ever, this method never allows overheating and not need worry add that loud noisy fan. for me its not something surprising at all.
Hi Maurice, I hope all goes well can you pls give us a lil hint if the CSL DD+ will released this year? Because of planning to buy our xMas presents ;)
I wonder if there is any technical difference between the CS DD and DD+?
I would bet Fanatec use the same motor on both but uses different powersupplys, like they did on the CSL line, to unlock 15nm of torque or they did the DD1 and DD2 move and lock it down via firmware. With the information i have now i see no reason why only the console version get 15nm. It is a shame that we have to pay the hefty Sony tax to get 15nm. I'm not interested in console compatibility at all but 15nm of torque would be nice. I will not preorder the CS DD/DD+ and wait for the full release to get the whole picture. Maybe we can unlock the CS DD to it's full potential in the future like you can do it with the CSL DD.
I agree, it is a very odd decision to make the PC only version weaker than the version compatible with console. Consoles tend to have less detailed force feedback than PC so the true benefit will be better realised on PC rather than console.
They did the opposite with the Podium line choosing to make the weaker of the two bases console compatible. But spend any time here and you will soon realise that Fanatec and logic are not bed fellows...
How is this with the CS DD+? Max and holding is 15Nm? So we see clipping earlier than on the DD1?
I just sold my CSL DD pro 8Nm because I wanted to upgrade to a DD1, but perhaps it is better to opt for the newer Clubsport DD+ so I'm set for the next years.
With a lower Torque value of course you will see clipping earlier compared to the DD1 in FFS PEAK mode. However, DD1 in FFS LIONEAR mode has the same strength of 15 Nm, so in that mode no difference.
Will the ClubSport DD+ be the same width as the Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base?
The reason im asking as I will upgrade as soon as its available but will need to know if I will need to modify the TR ONE - DD SIDE MOUNT - Fanatec on my Track Racer TR120
In germany we have really strikt regulations for comparative advertisement. When Fanatec will ever reveil the other brands they have to use better graphs for that and had to show how they test it. When something is wrong in their data, even a little bit, other brands can sue Fanatec for millions. I think they will not risk that :D
I wonder what (and when) Fanatec will propose an official Playstation bundle with this Clubsport DD+ wheel base… a new updated version of the formula wheel with an integrated QR2 would be cool (for example) ;)
Comments
15 nm is not replacement for DD1, its for fix a cap between podium and csl dd
The 15 Nm on the CS DD+ however is the Holding Torque which is actually exactly the same as on the DD1 which also has a Holding Torque of 15 Nm ;)

well graficks show clearly that even 12nm cant hold that long the 12 nm
Where?

the problem is if you not understand, how you are able make same coil size for 15nm without overhead if 12 nm already drops
You will see soon :)

I have no idea, sorry.
Fanatec says "soon". Nothing more to add from me here.
Okay thanks alot Maurice, I read somewhere Q2 2024 that would be a dealbreaker ;)
Oh Q2 is definitely wrong.
It's planned for this year.
You can also find this detail in a developer interview from a visitor of the Expo here where it's also confirmed to be released this year.
I want 15NM,but I do not want to pay money for PS support, there is no option for me😭
I wonder if there is any technical difference between the CS DD and DD+?

It says: “This behavior is suitable for both traditional force feedback signals and extended FullForce signals (in supported games)”.
Which games support FullForce?
The DD1 has 15Nm holding and 20Nm max power.
How is this with the CS DD+? Max and holding is 15Nm? So we see clipping earlier than on the DD1?

Yes. Its the same housing as GT DD Pro, just longer. Width and height are the exact same.
Perfect Thanks
I really hope they offer the 3 yr warranty like they did with the DD1. Or at least the option to pay for a 3 or 5 year extended warranty.
There will be lots of guys selling their „old“ CSL DD Pro when upgrading to ClubSport DD+.
I‘m going to sell my 8Nm DD Pro as soon as I can call a DD+ and a couple of QR2 my own
it would be interesting to know what are those other brands

What will be the peak toque be ?
If the same will the wheel have peek mode?
thank you
Peak and Holding Torque are the same, therefore also no FFS setting needed, so no PEAK or LINEAR Mode as its always Linear anyway.😅
May I ask why CSDD+ is not sold in the Japanese region?
Hi everybody
I wonder what (and when) Fanatec will propose an official Playstation bundle with this Clubsport DD+ wheel base… a new updated version of the formula wheel with an integrated QR2 would be cool (for example) ;)
