Is it normal for the numbered switches to skip the numeric clicks?

    Mclaren gt3 v2 csl dd 5 nm.

Ehm, what? Please explain in more detail with pictures or a video, I dont understand.

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

when I turn the 2 switches of the mclaren gt3 v2 steering wheel, the acc does not recognize that I am turning the numeric switch.

but the other buttons all work.

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

Then you have it configured wrong in the game.

You need to set MPS mode to constant in the Tuning Menu, then in the game you need to bind the position to the respective TC or ABS values with an extended input of 0.5s.

  • When will we get a fix for the v2.5x wheel? When using the thumbstick (think it's button 1?) I get random inputs as if I'm pressing it in (Button A on xbox)

    Thanks

I have the Problem, since release of the DD+, that the ffb sporadically vanishes for about 1-2 seconds, and then comes back.

Using it on PC, on newest Firmware and basically any fw combination since 455.

The firmware Updates made the intervals of that happening, shorter.

I am now trying to downgrade the firmware step by step to get it to a rate, which is managable. with the latest firmware, it's very unreliable, so i can't really use it properly with ffb vanishing once every hour, costing me basically every race i do.

Best behavior so far was on 455 base fw and 462 qr fw. (ffb vanishing every ~3-5h maybe)

since i read about that problem in the firmware threads frequently, it should be a known issue right? any fix in in sight or do i have to return the dd+?

This is now hardware related and you need to contact the support.

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

And what do you thinks of m’y problem

I have new FFB losses on the DD+ base in 464 on PS5, more and more frequent.

no buttons work anymore, the pedalboard reacts correctly.

removing and replacing the steering wheel is useless, it is no longer recognized and requires updating.

The only solution is to turn the base off and on again.

It’s seriously starting to be painful not to be able to play peacefully.

you had a huge chance to be the only one to offer this type of product

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

what you mean the only solution ? solution is, you need may contact customer support, but how i see it as developer they to may have also not finished code

  • thank you allan, but I would like to have a response from Maurice or marcel maybe

    more and more frequent.

have you try reinstall the firmware ?

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

I had the same configuration as you (DD+, PDME, PS5) I downgraded the FW to 455 and it's fine now

some users can't go back especially if they have Bentley, they need fix that problem.

455 is more like temp solution really till they fix the problem

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

a have you downgraded all or only certain elements?

  • hardware generated communication noise when user steers the steering wheel, that can be fixed only if developers change the view how they code stuff

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

    Just the DD+ base

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

Hopefully it will be fix soon 🙌

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

It won't be. It takes a year or two to fix anything important. Other bugs are just delayed everytime. So don't expect anything and you're gonna be fine.

  • First I was able to install this driver for my setup with CSL DD.

    Worked for about 2 hours.

First problem was that during a race the shift buttons on my McLaren GT3 V2 stopped working (sound indicates USB device attached, detached)

Next steering wheel was no langer detected

All firmware is up to date. Reinstalled the driver --> same issue.

Then I uninstalled everything fanatec related...

First installed the driver that is downloadable from the productpage (452) --> installs and seems to work correctly

From the 452 I tried to update the driver --> does not work and results in error message

    FWVirtualInputDevice cannot be stopped

when you install drivers, its usually better if Hardware is disabled

whatever is happening, it not allows disable the fanatec FWVirtualInputDevice driver

you need todo always also pc restart after you install them

when you install, 455. you need todo at least one hardware reboot as well, there is some glitch at software

  • richEditor.externalEmbed.description

Actually it is recommended to have all the Fanatec USB devices powered ON when you install a Fanatec driver to ensure the USB device driver gets properly installed which can sometimes fail when the driver gets installed without the base powered on.

perhaps you mean, when user installs the fresh driver? the user what i see in he logs, are something messed up when he try uninstall

when user uninstalls, that's where he not needs that hardware run's in backround

  • I’ll try it. I’ve already rolled back to 452 and it didn’t make a difference.I rolled the firmware back to 0.3.5.0 (I think) the factory loaded firmware, and it is marginally better (less frequent) but it still does it.

have you try disable steering wheel vibration?

  • edited January 16

Hey guys. Upgraded to 462 when it came out a few months ago. Had 0 issues since and then yesterday had a disconnect where wheel screen froze and nothing worked. Had to switch off and on and all good since. Is this still a thing or maybe just a once off. I’m on podium hub and endurance button

is there much difference in 464 over 462?

back then 462 cured my soft disconnect issue

    dd+

    thanks in advance.

edit after looking back at the previous pages seems a few having this issue is it a podium hub or endurance button module issue?

  • Mmm nobody 😂

  • Hi all, I need help PLEASE to know what could I do ...

    -Podium Racing Wheel F1® (P_RW_F1_EU)

    -QR2 installed

-Driver version latest 464 installed on C:\Program Files\Fanatec\Fanatec Wheel

    -Fanalab 2.01.58 installed on C:\Program Files (x86)\Fanatec\FanaLab

    -Maurice profiles 2.01.58

-All firmwares updated to the latest version from driver 464 firmwares updates available...

I was racing with this driver during 2 or 3 weeks without issues with my podium F1 wheel.

The problem was after my recently porsche 911 GT3 R wheel adquisition with:

    -Podium Advanced Paddle Module

    -Podium Button Module Endurance

    -Podium Hub

    -QR2 Wheel-Side

After attach the podium steering whell porsche 911 GT3 R recently buyed and install the last firmware for this wheel... during the update I received the message sucesfully update into text lines but at this point the software was blocked..and was needed turn off/on the base.. after that.. all look like works fine...

I was racing OK during 30 mins that first day after update that wheel... the second day after one hour aprox racing with the same Porsche wheel... suddenly the base turned off automatically into iRacing session.... after that it doesn't turn on.....

When trying to turn on the power button turns white but turns off immediately. If I keep the power button pressed... it remains with blank-white led and the ring rotates... and the force-resistance is noticeable but neither the screen nor the LEDs light up...device is NOT DETECTED FROM FANATEC SOFTWARE... and when I release the button there is no longer any force-resistance and it does not work. nothing...

I was trying the same operation without wheel and with the F1 wheel too but nothing happens different.

I was trying to install the same driver 464 on other computer and same results.. I do not know if should try with other driver version???

You can see video attached and log files, Could you please help me!!!???
