Let me see when the 465 version driver will be released

  • Soon but it wont fix anything, it's purely a product release driver, no hotfix driver..

We need a new Firmware for the Formula V2.5X wheel. The one from 464 has the issue that all buttons on the wheel stop working for a few seconds every few minutes. Many report this as misshift issues, but actually all buttons stop working during that time (steering is fine, as is FFB).

Only solution at the moment is to downgrade the firmware to the version included in driver 455.

What's worrying me here is that in the forums, Fanatec staff partly acknowledged the issue, on other threads the official answer is that the issue is not known and customers are advised to RMA the wheels because it is a hardware issue. Except it isn't, as the different behavior on the old firmware proves.

  • Better to stop complaining or they'll just ban you now for some time. Don't expect much will be fixed anytime soon. There is already tons of issues. It takes around 1-2 years on average for a bug to be fixed.

  • Exactly right, I've been saying that for over a quarter of a year.

I was ignored too. I reinstalled 0.3.5.0 a long time ago and it works. The 463 driver is better than the new 464.

  • With my v2.5x when I use it I get multiple random inputs and support told me the fix will be in the next firmware update.. they also said they are hoping it’s released this month (January)

I have all the email logs. The wheel worked perfect on my Csl dd but since upgrading to the Csl dd+ it’s unusable. Waste of £900

Dont know about what the support says but there is no driver release planned for this month and there is no new firmware for the Formula V2.5 in the works atm...

The next driver release will be a pure release driver which adds compatibility for a new product, there are no fixes planned to get included into that release other than the broken driver update notifications...

  • After this answer I expected that 465 would finally be a fix for CSL DD

  • my dd extreme ffb drops out for those few seconds and the buttons also

dont work for those few seconds ,it only happens when the outside temperature is over 42 degrees C.Dont know what my room temp is , have all latest drivers

No problem when temperature is below the 42 C, anyone else have same problem?

  • too cold here for 42C

  • edited January 25

These specific fixes were not merged and tested in time so the release of them is delayed for driver 466 or 467 atm and wont be included in 465, no.

I have a csw 2.5 with a Formula v2.5 too. Started to have randomly "no buttons/paddles working" issues when racing, it pissed a couple of races and started to thing it was a hardware issue, but it was so random and finally figured out here in the forums that looks like a common problem for other users. I'm using 464too for some months, and looks like it fits with the start of the problems. I was thinking in upgrading my base to DD+ but considering there are no plans to fix this issue, I'm really in doubt. It's a very serious issue when you drive in competitive simracing.

  • Hi, so I've got the dd pro and only in the last 6 months and only online. Doesn't do it in tt or in career etc. Only online. It also seems to happen when coming out of the pits and in my last 2 races at the start. Basically the buttons all work, pedals to but the wheel vibrates but has zero rotation. I literally have to go ai and reset my wheel during a race. Its proper frustrating now as I've no idea what's causing it. I updated it to the latest firmware last week and its now worse, does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do to resolve the issue.

  • They don't seem to acknowledge the problem, and critisism is deleted...

They know the problem, I asked this question before because I'm having the same issue with my V2.5 and I was told to go back to older firmware (455), and that has solved it.

This was months ago though, I just dropped in to see if there were any updates since AC Evo came out but it looks like I'm still stuck with 455. That's a real shame because I thought the newer firmware felt better when I tried it.

    Hi,

last week my Clubsport DD 12 Nm (this replaces my Dd Pro 8Nm) arrived.

everythingn installed but when I turn on the wheelbase there is a strange “raspy, windy like, squeeking sound”and that resonates a high frequency vibration that is more than anoying. Is this a known issue?

  • either this or that, they to plan release that porsche steering wheel what users see in Expo, also they been talk about some sort new pedals but not know when that happens

  • I know, that's why I asked. :) I'd like to see new pedals. I like my V3, but the model is showing age now :) But you're right, I forgot the Porsche wheel, probably that will be the new product for now.

The issue is known and already fixed internally and now needs to get merged into the public release firmware branch and then tested again internally. This takes some time but I have just recently pushed the issue again and raised prio for awareness so hopefully it can get merged into driver 458 or 459.

    ------------------

The above relates to the fix for the PBM Rally not working with the Fanatec sequential shifter - confirming it was fixed, awaiting release in May 2024. The fix still hasn't been released. Can we have an update advising when Fanatec will release this please?

  • The BMR fixes, together with a whole bunch of other sustaining fixes, are currently targeted for driver 466 in spring.

  • You can find alot of the same posts over the last year. Nothing but empty words and same excuses. So it's useless to even ask anything anymore. You won't believe how many people just gave up... Nothing will be fixed, at least not in the near future. But don't worry because a new driver is coming soon.

  • When is the driver overhaul that solves fixing one problem while creating 3 more?

It feels like the legacy driver that pulls in everything from Fanatec's history has become bloated and a pile of code spaghetti. This needs to be solved or maintaining all this gear is going to collapse under it's own weight.

Can you imagine how bad the drivers would be if Fanatec release an active pedal?

What happened to the hotfix firmware release that was supposed to be next up to fix numerous issues with the PBMR? I can easily replicate the ghost inputs issue using my xbox hub + PBMR and it also happens on my new Podium hub that I was hoping wouldn't have this issue but same problems on the CS DD. (no issues on GT DD PRO) if you need somebody to beta test, I volunteer as it has been far to long to resolve these issues.

To replicate the ghost inputs, just wait several minutes without pressing any buttons (happens in games when playing or idle) and then press any button on the PBMR and all the encoders register inputs. When playing sims, having the encoders triggering randomly is a real problem when you have any functions mapped. (for example in LMU it was setting my engine map to safety car or changing TC values - whatever I have mapped to the encoders)

Nothing happened. Everything is bullshit. There is so many problems already, that it all became a joke. Just bunch of empty words to keep people quiet and stop complaining. It is now delayed again, targeted for spring, then it will be delayed to summer and then there will be some big problem with the new software suit which will be a priority to fix (but everything is a priority already), then they will promise to release something by end of the year, which will be pushed to early 2026 (which is Q2 at earliest). Same all story over and over for years now.

  • I have following "fixed" issues with Clubsport DD and Button Module Rally (1.0.0.6). I'm actually back on my CSL DD... :/

Fanatec Driver 455 (prev. Release) for CSL, CS and Podium (all wheels) — Fanatec Forum

    ...

    Button Module Rally Improvements

    • Fixed MPS positions being off by 1 value.
    • Fixed ACP names being shown in wrong 7-Seg. abbreviations instead of full text.
  • Sorry that was fixed with Driver 456...

All MPS switch 1 position after a few minutes when I press any button and the display shows wiered Gears and no Fanatec logo when no game is running. I think these are the improvements for BMR version 1.0.0.6?

I don't have the problems on my CSL-DD.

  • No those are still open issues to be fixed in an upcoming firmware update this spring.

To keep saying firmware update in spring is criminal… especially when fanatec are happily taking people’s hard earned money like mine knowing of issues with firmware.

the team should be working non stop until it is fixed so people can actually use their exspensive equipment.

guess that’s why Corsair had to save fanatec from going under altogether and you all lose your jobs
