its written in the first post: when you update to the firmware 669 it is absolutely normal that the fan will go up to 100% because the firmware is not compatible with the old motor firmware. Therefore you need to flash also the motor firmware from v30 to v38 and then the fan will be operating normal again.
Like alot of places they probably use a lead "programmer" as the system engineer and to be honest they make great products and probably cant justify the major changes you suggest
I'm on DD2 from 1st batch... 352 Felt Great...Now 353 with the PBME software is still Great!! the FFB feel is Far Beyond any other FW to date.
After using 352 for a few days No way could I settle for 346 ever again... The Fanatec DD line up just took a Huge Leap Forward with the Last FW!!! and Now the Extra info on the PBME and also on the Wheel Base its self... Lap Times, Split Times, Car Ahead Aaaaw Man!!! Wheel Base and Rim can show different lap/Car info... Nope I can't Go back to 346 I'm hooked on 353 its too late for Me... LOL.
Porsche rim is home, Loading firmware manually is not fun, but lighting is functional, buttons are and it works sort of like it did before only better.
I couldn't hold anymore and updated to 352 again, just did what Barry said from SRG to put to 0 the game Dampening and Spring. There are very few thumps and roughness, but man that feedback feels spot on. Now im questioning can they even make it better? DD1, 2nd batch
Is your Left thumb stick working??? Are you able to assign it to any button functions??? Ex: Move seat etc... Min is Not working. I know the emulate mouse feature is Not working I just want to see a sign of Life in the left thumb stick to make sure PBME unit has Not defects so far i see Nothing happens when moving left thumb stick on mine
Thanks for all of the positive posts about Driver 352. I updated my wheelbase and rim earlier today and everything worked as it should. Even the little clunk on shutdown, at least in my opinion, is rather insignificant. Thanks to you all for making this such a great community.
Do you have the Advanced Paddle Module? The Analogue Axis Mode of the APM shares the same axis as the Joystick and the joystick won’t work when the APM is set to that Analogue Axis Mode..
Because this is „as designed“ there won’t be a firmware to fix this because that’s just how it works, the axis have to share the same axis, it’s not possible to split these into two different axis so you will never be able to use the Analaogue Axis Mode of the APM together with the joystick. It will always be a either ... or option.
I had to roll back as I got the max fan issue and was also unable to detect wheel after trying multiple USB ports. Another problem, the wheel base motor firmware is now at "0" and I am unable to update it... This is on any driver. Not sure if it's me or what at this point, but it's frustrating..,. I just want to drive!
Make sure base in in PC mode... after update it defaults to Xbox mode if you have a Xbox compatible wheel mounted... Also take wheel rim off and see if it detects it... If Not Select install driver again and when prompted select repair then restart PC it should work then.
Installing the Dr & Fw is a process if your Not familiar with it it can be a bigger head ache that it really is... Take your time once you get it done a few times and know all the steps its Nothing to it... I was flashing back to 346 vs 352 all last weekend with No issues... I'm on 353 Now and install went Really Smooth as well.
Thanks for the help, but it seems there is something else going on... I am still unable to get the Wheel Base Motor Firmware to load. I click the box and everything disappears. Still at "0". Hopefully Fanatec support will get back to me soon.
Maurice, is there a concrete possibility that this feature will be introduced with the next firmwares? This would be very useful for setting the preferred torque regardless of the steering wheel possessed but also to have the wheel base temperatures under control. I bought three podium hubs and two podium shifters for my three sparco steering wheels (among other things I own a Porsche and a Formula carbon) but this way I can't set them according to my needs (with a precise torque). It would be very appreciated if you added this possibility (perhaps being able to choose from fanalab which page to display). Thanks for your time.
No concrete plan AFAIK, but nothing is impossible. Let's see what the future brings. But for sure not anytime soon...
Also, don't worry about Temps and Torque. The DD can sustain Temps of up to 120°C before the motor starts throttling. Under normal driving conditions you will not reach a temp above 50°C.
And regarding Torque, just setup the FFB how you feel comfortable with and don't look at the NM. It really doesn't matter if a peak came through with 15 or 18 Nm, all that matters is that you feel comfortable with the FFB.

That works !
Thx a lot 👍️
ciao, scusa l'ignoranza ma per fare l'aggiornamento alla 352 devo prima disintallare la vecchia o basta scaricare e aggiornare? grazie
Please post your question in English according to the forum rules so everyone can understand your question. Thanks.

Hey Philipp happy to hear the your great experience with v352. Are you using thr DD1 or DD2 and is it the first batch ?
Im still a little reserved on doing the update. Im currently running a DD1 second batch.
Cheers.

🤘🤜🤛,

Fly, fly!

I'm glad I could help you.
Decided to make the jump and upgraded to the new firmware. Works great, no problems at all.
As everyone else has mentioned, there is a clunk when powering off, and the Fanatec did mention it in their first post here so im not too concerned.
Also im not getting any FFB spikes, and that was with about 3hrs of iRacing.
DD1, 2nd batch.
🤜🤛,🤘
it is good and this podium 911gt3 seems light.
i guess i get to try out the non-linear inertia setting, if i ever get the time.

i have not,
however i can confirm the v9 button configuration is not matching the ps4 map and also the FS is acting odd.
the fs acts as ps and x, cant remap much on the ps4, i can live with this for now as all buttons are available.
Playstation button caps would of been nice for my ps4 ready product too,🤦♂️, can't buy them either?
i have not really had too much time other than firmware nonsense and what not.
it works enough and as expected, but nothing other than a complicated process and that to report.

Keith.
Lorrell, My left stick works
Also the emulate mouse, but with the problems described in known issues, one axis reversed etc, but it works

Thanx mate... Mine Does Nothing... I may have to open a Support case🤔

YES!!! That was it!!! It works it works!!! Now I'm happy
would you suggest to not use Analogue mode until a New Dr/Fw comes out?
😆Thanx Maurice😁
Maurice to the rescue😀👍️
Nice! :)

I have a Base CSW v.2.5. Can I Install Fanatec Beta Driver V352?

Thanx again Maurice... I can Live with that it makes sense.... I'm Very happy the unit is working as intended.
