Thank you very much, Maurice. Helped me a lot. :) Small question to end this: Would you recommend to install the driver before installing the MPM or the other way around or it doesn't matter?
Every time I go into the wheel base properties it says "Your CSL Elite Wheel Base firmware is not the latest one! Do you want to update now?"
Trouble is, the firmware update loads (see last screen shot) but does not complete successfully, the wheel base blue led flashes, after waiting 10 minutes I disconnect the power, when I turn the power on again the wheel base is still running v656
its not going to be improved further afaik because the knock is fixed, what you feel is not the knock anymore but the disabling of the anti-cogging filter and as you say absolutely harmless. In fact, its MUCH improved to a point where its simply not possible to improve it anymore but its normal that there will always be some very small kind of knock when turning off the base, its just how this motor and the electronics work and is nothing to worry about at all.
I would try different USB ports... the slightly advanced fix is go to Device Manager, delete the USB port that the base is connected to, and reboot Windows.
Hi guys, just checking. I have a DD1 and recently received the Porsche 911 GT3 R Podium Wheel for my birthday. Anyhow, I have a very minor "bug" I want to check if somebody recognizes it: when I play games (primarily ACC) I sometimes see that the LED's on the Endurance Module stay on (like they are sticky) until a new signal is sent to the steering wheel for that specific LED. So sometimes so REV leds stay on when I quit the game and am on the Windows desktop or the flag LEDS which are also used for TC and ABS indicators remain lit until a new signal is given.
Anyone else saw this behaviour and what can cause/solve this?
My DD1 is on 372 and I have observed no such issues with my Formula V2 wheel. No jolts or freezes :)
So I just use the same page right? Sorry for the dumb question. Additionally, is this driver the most recommended one right now? I have read that a lot of people have reported more detailed FFB. Thanks.
Dear, my DD1 base is no longer recognizing any steering wheel.
Today I decided to install driver 373 and Fanalab 1.47 (I only realized that the base remained on during the procedure after restarting the PC).
When restarting the PC, I enter the control panel and also in Fanalab and verify that the "PC driver = 373", "Base Firmare = 674" and Motor Firmware = 40 ". However, it is not recognizing the Formula V2 steering wheel nor the BMW GT2.
The base is frozen in the alert message "Caution - Torque Key Inserted" and besides not turning on any LEDs, it does not recognize the button to proceed.
I already returned the driver to version 365 but I was not successful again with the steering wheels.
Please help me to find this problem. I have an important championship race this Friday night :(
Exactly, same settings on the same pages here in the forum for the different games. And I personally highly recommend the latest driver. As you write, much better FFB and several fixes included.
This update has brought back the notchyness in the belt of my CSW 2.5. I'd had this previously on other ones, and had stayed at an older version, but wanted to use Fanalabs. Feels like lots of bumps at every 3-4 degrees rotation.
Hello Marcel and Maurice and other friends from the Forum,
My DD1 base is no longer recognizing the steering wheels (V2 and BMW) after updating to Driver 373. Can you please help me to identify the problem I am having and a way to try to fix it.
I already had everything updated in Driver 372 working normally since the launch. Yesterday I saw that version 373 was available and I updated only the driver. After restarting the PC, the steering wheels are no longer being displayed, neither in the control panel nor in Fanalab. The steering wheels do not respond, do not turn on any lights and the buttons have no interaction.
I have already uninstalled the firmware, changed the USB ports, killed the processes, upgraded to version 356 and upgraded one by one after this, but nothing so far has made the steering wheels work again.
Wheel Base Model (product ID): DD1
Steering Wheel Model (product ID): Formula V2 and BMW GT2
Same issue happened with me now after my last windows update , I downloaded the firmware again and pressed repaid in the instillation process and the problem seems to be solved.
Hello Abdulwahab AlAli, can you write me again the step you used to reestablish the installation? When translating the language, I was unsure whether to press a specific button or to select the "repair" option when executing the installation file.
Unfortunately, DD1 still does not recognize the steering wheels.
I updated a V2 base here to 372, 373 and 374 and everything is ok. All steering wheels working. Only in DD1 that gave a problem and so far no intervention by me has made it work again. Any additional tips, give me a try.
I even used three different computers and the result is the same.
Guys we are on the same boat. The strange thing is that it is happening between DD1s and DD2s. I was told this is an hardware issue. I sent them back my wheel... Now I just hope they'll be quick because more than 10 days without equipment is somehow annoying but I'm going to give trust to the guys at the warehouse. But, if after getting my wheel fixed or presumably, I get another issue with the gear, I am not sure if I will bother anymore with this product: it is already the third different problem in less than a year.

Thanks it advance once again. :)
Hi everybody.
This is the question. I have a lot of issues with ultimate firms on CSL + base anf F1 Steering wheel.
Is the only solution downgrade my Fanatec base to Driver 328???? A lot of owners saiing it...
Hello
My devices are:
CSL Elite Wheel Base - firmware v656
CSL Elite Pedals LC - firmware v1.9
Clubsport Formula V2 Wheel - firmware v35
Every time I go into the wheel base properties it says "Your CSL Elite Wheel Base firmware is not the latest one! Do you want to update now?"
Trouble is, the firmware update loads (see last screen shot) but does not complete successfully, the wheel base blue led flashes, after waiting 10 minutes I disconnect the power, when I turn the power on again the wheel base is still running v656

my v2.5 clubsport wheelbase isnot reading in game controllers what doi need to do?
The wheelbase's blue LED flashes? Before running the updates did you put the base in PS4 or PC mode?
Hey Maurice,
Sorry to say but I still have the issue of knock when turning off the wheel base.
when I updated a Couple months ago from 365 to 373 it was still there.
I know it’s not damaging anything but maybe something to look at for next update?
Gr,
Peter
Did you click on "Flash firmware" on top left corner in the last picture you posted?

Did you actually click on the "Flash Firmware" button? The message simply says the firmware is loaded, not flashed.

Yes that’s a known issue since forever and unlikely to get fixed soon, but it’s being looked into for sure at some point.
In AC sometimes in corners i have a little knock on my CSL Elite V1.1. I have to reduce the FEI setting to 30-40 to avoid this little knock.
Did someone else have the same issue?
Are the recommended settings for each game the same after the driver/firmware updates? Thanks.
Currently on a CSW 2.5 with CSL LC
Yes, they got updated after new filters were added to the DD bases, but they are still the same for the CSW.
So I just use the same page right? Sorry for the dumb question. Additionally, is this driver the most recommended one right now? I have read that a lot of people have reported more detailed FFB. Thanks.

Hello David
Yes, the wheelbase blue LED flashes forever...
The wheelbase was in PC mode when running the firmware update
(the wheelbase is connected to a PC)

Where you can get 374?
Download page of the WRC, no change other than WRC support
