Me too I installed fanalab in the default directory (and I only have 1 drive). As soon as I launched it, I saw the black color FANALAB banner came up, then the Fanalab main window came up for a few seconds, then it disappeared by itself without my intervention.
Maurice, I saw a couple of entries logged in Windows event viewer saying something like "Application exception Fanalab with some addresses". Does it tell you something?
Thank you for your help. I'd love to have Fanalab...
Is the Wheelbase on / plugged in via USB? As that is the view I get with my DD1 when I forget to turn on or plug in the USB of the wheelbase and start Fanalab.
Yesterday I drove at least 4 hours Raceroom. Uninstalled Fanalabs before and get no crash to Desktop.
I'm more than sure, that Fanalab is making this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated here.
Is I've said and you could see in virtual Racing forum: I am not the only one.
It's not easy to test for you, because it could work three hours before crashing. But I have tried it now many times and I could name Fanalab as the Problem after all my testings.
How can I help to nail the problem down with Fanatec? Any logs or something?
I'm a bit frustrated, because it seems, that Fanatec won't hear me.
So, I believe this is the standard directory, steam/rfactor on D directory. Want to have c clean for windows only. Maybe that’s the issue? Can not move steam to c
Good morning, yes it's plugged in (using USB-hub).
Today just after Win10 boot, Tuning tab did show up, but [SEN] slider was at 90° (which was max), I wasn't able to switch between Setup (SET 1 - Set 5), message on tho bottom left "Wheel device not detected". But in reallity [SEN] was on AUTO.
After that, I reload Fanalab and Tuning tab was gone again just like yesterday.
Some additional Info:
I have this issue for quite a while (about a year or so), throu different beta driver versions and Fanalab versions.
i'm still able to save and load game profiles and settings did show up in the "Tuning menu preview" part of the "Game Profile" tab.
I have to add, my pedals (old CSL Elite, connected directly over USB) are not showing up at the "Main" tab.
EDIT 2: Looks like the pedals are not properly recognized by Driver 381. While they work fine in game, Gamecontoller -> Property of the pedals give me this (Bars didn't show anything):
Fanalab now launching ok. Not sure what fixed it..played a bit of AC last night & then tried my luck opening it again at the end of the evening and it launched no issues. Weird..time to buy a lottery ticket.
I am glad I am not alone in this. I have this problem from time to time, not always. 20m ago leaving RaceRoom and fanalab closed/crashed. 10m ago leaving RaceRoom, no problem.
Thank's for the hint, but unfortunately it doesn't make any difference.
I managed to let Fanalab show up my pedal (newer vers.) at the main tab, by manually selcting my pedal "Force show another pedal".
Unlike I wrote before, the bars at the Pedal driver property window are working (now).
My wheelbase settings at "tuning menu" tab did show up at times, but then there's no active comunication. So changes doesn't have any effect in both directions.
The strange thing is, I have the same problem here on my new PC (Win10), like on my old (Win8.1) before.
So in fact I didn't give up on it, and tried one last thing.
Yesterday I plugged my wheelbase and paddles directly over USB 3.2 ports on my PC, but my hub was still connected.
Now if I unplug my USB-hub, Fanalab tuning menu sliders work fine. Finally ! 😃
After some time spend testing, it seems like it works now if I connect my wheelbase directly (USB 3.2), the rest (pedals, shifter, button box, 2nd keyboard, 2nd mouse, hub for headset) using different hub over USB 3.2.
hey guys I just downloaded the v.1.5.3 but my DD1 won't show up on the fanalab active devices or on the fanatec control panel... I already tried to put it in compv2.5 but it still didn't show it. Anyone with some tips?

Any suggestions?
No, that didn't help...
No, I only have 1 drive: C and I installed Fanalab in its default path. Didn't work.
Hi, for me "Tuning Menu" tab doesn't show wheel settings.
Wheelbase: DD1 - Driver: 381
Fanalab v1.53

Please send the Windows Event Logs from both R3E and Fanalab related logs to Marcel.
Yes, we will do. Thank you Maurice 👍

I would try it without the USB Hub and plugged directly into a USB port on your PC

I'm a software engineer (in a non-windows discipline) and we're always afraid of when something that may or may not work sometimes :-)

I give up on it for now, thank's for your help!

It's more "plug and pray" than "plug and play". 🙂

which driver do you have installed? is the driver opening properly?
That's weird that your log had the same timestamp I got...
Yeap, lol, that's true, didn't see that! Maybe this is not the time of the occurence and just some info!!!
May be it's the timetamp of the offending app "fanalab.exe"...
Does the CSW2.5 not support ITM?
It's possible that it just doesn't like USB3.2 but glad you got it all figured out.
mhm? The CSW does not have a display.. But it would support it on the BME ITM.
Ok, so im on a Formula V2 and a CSW2.5. So can I enable ITM with that or no?
no. ITM needs the big OLED Display which only the BME and the Podium DD Bases have.
Ahh okay, thats a bummer, maybe a future update for the smaller OLED display on the formula rims
Is the base correctly detected on the overview page?
Is the tuning menu working on the drivers property page?
