well looks like its something with the pc. hooked the dd2 to another pc and the update went fine. now to figure what is going on since it fails on multiple usb ports.
I had the same problem with the 431 driver, DD2 and Formula v2.5. I posted a message to the thread at the time. After numerous attempts, I decided to take one last stab at it. The entire process was the same, I would initiate the upgrade, the DD2 display went black and nothing seemed to happen. The last time I tried it, I got distracted doing something else, so it ended up sitting there longer than the other upgrade attempts. As I reached to hit the kill switch to power cycle the DD2, all of a sudden, and to be honest I'm not exactly sure what happened because the display didn't come back on despite the fact that the DD2 seemed to reboot. The light on the kill switch never went out. The firmware upgrade window appeared again without me doing anything. The driver was installed successfully.
Sorry if this has been addressed before, but after update I only have sensitivity and FF options in fanatec tunning menu. Previously there was options like damper, drift, brake force…
You are in the new Standard Tuning Menu and you need to enable the new Advanced Tuning Menu to get all settings back, see page 1 of this thread for more explanation. You need to press the Tuning Menu Button for 3 seconds while you are in the Tuning Menu.
Today i realised it was not just AC playing with me :(
I had the base "disconnect" 3 times in iracing within 40 minutes
-while driving i suddenly loose the steering & hear the windows sounds of a usb connecting/diconnecting... and my input is locked for 1 second and then returns in game.. and im in the wall :/
so i went into device manager disabling ALL usb power management manually on all devices
& updated to 433
7 minutes in the new session, disconnects again (+ that wonderfull sound)
i had this problem 1 year ago too :/
i recently uopdated from the 381ìsh drivers which served me well - im loosing faith :(
My setup: CSL DD+Boost, McLaren GT3, CSL Elite LC pedals, ClubSport shifter, most current driver (433) and relevant firmwares installed:
When calibrating my H-pattern shifter with the software, it only recognized half the gears. Tried it a couple times from the software, didn't work, finally did it from the wheel itself, and it worked. Not a problem, it's working fine, but seems like it could be a software glitch somewhere?
Please check if windows is allowed to power safe the USB device. Often this is the root cause.
Another possible root cause could be an overloaded USB controller. In this case it might help to remove everything you don't need while driving (at least for testing it) or spread USB devices more evenly across different USB controllers. Usually different USB controllers are separated on the mainboard/PC for example USB2.0 and 3.0 are separate but also ones that are not located directly next to each other like front USB and back USB or if they are grouped elsewhere on the back of the mainboard.
If it only happens with the new driver/firmware and is gone again when using the older driver/firmware then its likely caused by FW. If it's now the same also when you again use the older driver/firmware, then it's likely the hardware/base.
Thank you i will give it a go - as i recnetly also added 1 usb device to my powered hub.
2 questions
the example above, is that the specific adresse/ name the DD2 has? or is it just an example? because i went though all last night and removed the "allow pc to power down"
is it possible for wifi signals to remove / interfere with wireless connection inside wheelbase?
Thanks, and sorry I could have deduced that myself. :-)
I noticed that some people have talked about locks when changing modes. I noticed that I had some of my "trigger" settings for auto change active, such as change in oil temperature. I didn't use to have this before.
Before reverting, I've now changed my ITM modes to not update the ITM page at any point in time and will keep it locked. Will do so for my next couple of sessions, and if no lock ups, will then try to enable all the automatic switches to observe.
Yes i have csl with additional load cell break pedal on old drivers i had possibility to set min and max values but after new ui design this possibility has gone i think will have to go back to old ui
I need help... I just updated my DD2 to driver 433 but now the handbrake no longer works!
I was starting a rally on DiRT Rally 2.0 and I realized that I could no longer use it.
In the Fanatec Control Panel, in the Pedalboard section, whether this is connected via USB or directly to the motor base, the three pedals work normally while the handbrake bar no longer shows signs of life. What can I do to be able to put the handbrake back into operation?
Comments
yes i moved to another one and got the same error. going to try the update from another pc
note the wheelbase still works fine

I've had this problem with 427, 428, 429, and 433. It didn't happen with 431.
It successfully upgrades the firmware, displays the next steps screen, which includes a reminder to run Wheel Center calibration.
CAL on the DD2 starts blinking and the setup window hangs at Please wait...
You have to kill the Firmware Manager window with Task Manager. Doesn't matter how long you let it sit, it never recovers.
Robert
I usually get this too...
What does the 'release candidate' behind the title means?
Will 433 be an official driver release? Possibility for it to be linked to the download section from the shop?
Sorry if this has been addressed before, but after update I only have sensitivity and FF options in fanatec tunning menu. Previously there was options like damper, drift, brake force…
csw v2 base, formula v2.5x wheel.
Anyone has same issue?

Maurice, I assume if using fanalab the above about standard and advanced does not apply?
It does.
Oh, okay, thanks
i have a problem with my handbrake (connected direct to the wheelbase of my CSL DD8 . it stopped working with driver 432
updated to driver 433... updated the firmware manually. Then the handbrake was working again.
but after the next pc restart it disappeard again:(
any idea how to fix it? other then updating the firmware every time?
DD2, iRacing & AC
Drivers 432 & 433

thx for any help that can stop this!
also thinking it might be some windows update?

Upgraded to the latest; all FWs etc upgraded fine.
Keep experiencing lock ups of the BME since the last few package versions. It'll just freeze, and the buttons will stop working. This is in iRacing.
I have two "Podium 911s" now, one with a Sparco rim the other with a leather rim. Both bought in roughly past year.
The problem is occurring on both of them. Could it be the DD1? Or potentially the driver/firmwares? Thanks.
We'll address this with the next firmware update, thanks for reporting it.

Where Calibration min and max have gonne for CSL pedals? I cant find where to find it in this new ui
CSL Pedals do not support this feature.
You can only set a Min/Max for Load Cell Pedals.
depending on yr game, you can set it there.
Yes i have csl with additional load cell break pedal on old drivers i had possibility to set min and max values but after new ui design this possibility has gone i think will have to go back to old ui
That are CSL Elite Pedals, not the new CSL Pedals...
To get Min/Max back you just only have to enable the manual mode toggle. It was the same in the old UI....

Downgrade the driver and firmware back and skip this driver.
