Because you have to manually select the manual firmware update for everything as already explained above but you only check the respective checkbox in the firmware Manager top right, then select what you want to update and then you just click flash. No need to select any hex file.
Nope, this PC has been very stable previously. I tried disabling the Windows Security real time protections, and that didn't make a difference.
However, after spending some more time testing, I discovered that killing every running program and background service resulted in a successful install. Since there were a lot of them, I'm not sure which specific program/process might have been interfering, but my first guess would be either Razer Synapse or Logitech GHUB. Both of which I actually do need to keep running to make proper use of other input devices I have, but it appears that there are no issues running the Fanatec Control Panel with normal background programs/processes after it's been installed, so it should be fine until the next time I need to update the drivers.
Hi Marcel, just wondering if there was an update on this question I raised. Appreciate you are busy and there are a lot of bugs but I think there are a few of us awaiting the response on this one.
I need some information aboute Endurance Button Module.
I read the infos about the newest beta driver:
Button Module Endurance
Added compatibility to CSL Elite WB PS4
Does it means that, Button Module now compatible with CSL Elite v1.1, too?
I have CSL E v1.1 and I want to buy a Podium Porsche set with Endurance Module. The next buy will be a CSL DD base, but I would like to use the Porche set until I change my v1.1 to a CSL DD.
I'm having two issues with the latest firmware with DD2 and PMBE.
1. Mid race (ACC), maybe every now and then, for less than a split second, the entire wheel and shifters will stop working. Then suddenly come back - makes for dangerous/unpredictable driving and race ending disasters. Happens about once every 30-40 minutes my guess is.
2. In between races, (in menus) the wheel will sometimes turn all the way to full lock and stay in such a position.
Anyone else experiencing this?
It's been 3 years since owning this DD2. If Fanatec can't give me a stable, working firmware, presumably they would owe me a full refund of this wheel base. Especially given the latest firmware ISN'T a beta.
Is listed as known issue in the first post and is supposed to be fixed sometime soon with a new firmware, in the meantime go back to driver 429 and downgrade the respective Firmwares to not have this issue.
I have DD1 playstation version, atm using with PC.
1) I have same kind of problems with F1 2021, haven't tested with ACC. My steering doesn't stop working, but FFB is lost for 5-10 seconds and then it comes back. Sometimes FFB and steering keeps working normally, but all the buttons including shifting stop working. This have been happening past couple of years trought every FW. Solution have been reassembly of quick release and then there are no problems for next month.
2) With latest firmwares my wheel rotates slowly left sometimes right and it goes slowly to full lock and stays there. This happens every time after half-1lap. Restarting the base ''opens'' the wheel from the full lock, but doesn't bring back FFB. Only way to get forces back is to restart PC and base.
Are you close to a service centre? To get it sent back and returned to you is about minimum 4 weeks though.
I think a lot of users do not wish to be without the wheel and so am hoping the problem can be resolved if they tweak it themselves. But sometimes I have seen it to a problem with the base itself. No one knows… not even Fanatec. 😉
Hi, I’m writing cause i need help to downgrade my dd2 from driver 434 and related fw to driver 429/ firmware 689 / Motor fw 41. I followed all the guide and i checked previous posts but after downgrading drivers, reboot, etc, when i want manually downgrade firmware i push on 3 dots, follow next steps but in the folder i don’t find any firmware to select…
Can anyone rememeber seeing an option in the Fanatec Control Panel to select/change which particular model of the ClubSport Formula V2 is connected (eg. F1 2019 LE etc) as well as which model of V3 Pedals (eg. Regular/Inverted) just like you can in FanaLab? That option seems to have gone missing for me in the recent updates, and it would be nice if the UI showed the specific model.
There does not seem to be a lot of comments regarding the CSL DD and 439 driver. Good sign? Or no one is upgrading from an older version since all is working fine.

Ok Thanks Maurice

Cheers,
George.
Marcel is on vacation this week.
So No Response for at least this week.
Understood cheers Maurice
Before installation of any new software/driver/firmware, I would usually disable anything running in the background.

No, at this moment since driver 435 the BME is only compatible with the CSL Elite WB PS4 - not (yet) with the CSL Elite WB 1.1
What? Yeah stopping service that is to be updated sure. If updating gpu drivers then I usually wipe old but not necessary with else. Or should not be.

1. So lodge an RMA?

1. If not familiar with the Fanatec QR assembly, fair enough to get them to do it?

It is easy job. There are good instructions in manual. Just be careful with wires, and don't use force.
I got a problem in updating the Firmware.
I am using CSL elite ps4, using driver 328 now, after install the Driver 439 exe and open Fanatec Control Panel can not detect wheel base.
Then i try to delete the Fanatec Control Panel and install my old Driver 328 exe, then the Fanatec Wheel Property Page is work fine.
Anyone can help me? Thank you very much

Just click flash.
Thanks Maurice for the quick answer. Really appreciated since is weekend. Have a nice day.

Which firmware for the CSL DD?
439 says 1.1.4.5 is new but we had an FW that was 1.1.5.4 a while back which I'm using now.
I think the 54 was maybe a test fw?
That's currently not supported for the Formula v2 and CSP v3, coming sometime this year.
My Formula V2.5X crashed during the upgrade to v44, causing the upgrade to fail
There does not seem to be a lot of comments regarding the CSL DD and 439 driver. Good sign? Or no one is upgrading from an older version since all is working fine.
No problems at all with my CSL DD 8nm.
