Seems to be CSw 2.5 base + shifter calibration are mismatched: It suggest shifter in neutral psition as first step, but the base actually does gear 1 as first step.
I have reported this before, but I am having micro-second loss of the complete FFB in ACC only. No issues with AC or iRacing after many hours of racing. It was suggested it was a hardware issue, but then why is it only happening in ACC? And is anyone experiencing this?
No issues for me with the new software. I'm running a DD1, V3 pedals, and a Formula V2.5 rim. Is it just me or is it smoother now with this update vs the last few?
I've found a problem with '439' drivers, when i plug my wheel in, fanatec control panel doesn't recognize my set, it happens really rarely, but in prior versions of the drivers i haven't had any problems whatsoever
it wasnt the nvidia drivers after all, it was fanatec drivers causing all the PC/Steam crashes. It wasnt all the third party apps on startup or system trays or windows defender AV.
Come on man... I understand what you saying, Fanatec isn't great at all when it comes to software, but that's the kind of message that could be just in your head and avoid to verbalize, cause it just doesn't help...
I'm confident this time it will work! Think positive!
I'm sure there will be new bugs, there always is with new software.
That doesn't mean the new base isn't required to move towards a future where bugs are few and far between. Even excellent software developers write bugs when a codebase is a mess and its hard to reason about side effects. Any new software of reasonable sophistication can never be tested to the extent required to be bug free when meeting the public for the first time. The way to judge a new software release is how fast the bugs get fixed. Hopefully the new codebase makes fixing bugs faster and keeps them fixed going forward.

Ahh, OK, thanks. Yeah, it's a very minor issue anyway. Otherwise I haven't run into any issues with the 440 driver at all so far.

Hi,

Is Marcel still with Fanatec?
Yes.
So after months of 'it's a Playground Games problem', a Fanatec driver update seems to fix the Forza 5 crashes... lol.
Was there a Forza 5 update at about the same time as the Fanatec driver update? 😜
Well... there's a simple way to test the theory: roll back to an earlier driver and see if the game crashes.

Most likely Placebo as the FFB was not changed in 440 compared to 439.
Thanks Maurice, that's what I figured since it mentioned nothing about that in the changelogs. Love your profiles. They are killer!
Hello,
I've found a problem with '439' drivers, when i plug my wheel in, fanatec control panel doesn't recognize my set, it happens really rarely, but in prior versions of the drivers i haven't had any problems whatsoever
This is due to windows updates my friend :-) Reinstall drivers
Marcel the fanalab link in the first post is outdated.
I am not Marcel but no, its not...?!
It links to 1.63 and 1.63.6 (for BMW M4 users) which is still the most current FanaLab versions available...?!
I've already made some updates and know how it works.
Wanted to go from 390 to 392 with the podium base (also tried 391) but the program doesn't see my base.
Tried everything, PC mode on off, program on off, reinstalled, base on off.
What could be the problem?
I can confirm that the driver 440 no more crashes/freezes FH5. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!! I've been playing non-stop.
it wasnt the nvidia drivers after all, it was fanatec drivers causing all the PC/Steam crashes. It wasnt all the third party apps on startup or system trays or windows defender AV.
That's a nice screen and setup you have there fondoo :)
So Fanatec did not know that it was the driver causing the problems?
No
any eta of the rewritten drivers that will solve jolts problem? Thanks!
Very soon.
yeah! great news
I'm very worried about the new bugs new drivers will introduce.

and keep praying... helps i think
we have been waiting for years .... little trust🤷♂️
FH4 does not freeze on V440 !!!!
However, the Crew 2 FFB stops working (Block by Battleye) ... works fine on V439.
You can't play both games without re-inserting the driver every time ...
Below is the log of The Crew 2 (Battleye) on Fanatec Driver V440.
20:36:38: Starting BattlEye Service ...
20:36:40: Launching game ...
