Please check if the quick release of your CSL DD sits well in the shaft of the base. Maybe the clamp wasn't tight enough and the quick release slipped out of the shaft a bit. You can loosen the clamp with a hex until it is loose and then try to push the QR further into the shaft (but not with brutal force). After that you can re-tighten the clamp well and see if the issue is fixed.
You can also check the bolts around the QR and around the pins to see if they are tight or loose.
If nothing of the above helps it probably makes sense to contact support.
How to flash a firmware is explained in the manual which comes with every driver download.
Downgrading is basically checking the manual firmware update checkbox, click Update Motor Firmware, click flash without searching for any hex file so it flashes the included default one. Thats it.
The new motor firmware is very good. Much more feeling around the middle position and when holding torque in the curve.
(Unfortunately I still have the problem that I have to take the steering wheel off and on every 1-3 hours because the buttons on the steering wheel suddenly stop working.)
Of course when I tried to record it was a lot better in terms of happening less, but it's still visible. What's worse, while recording the wheel entered setup mode two times unintentionally, which is really bad when playing in VR, because suddenly the buttons don't work any more and you don't know what's going on. When I first tried I didn't have that problem, but it was worse then so I may not have tested long enough to get to the point.
dd1 ps4 / ps5 I have the same problem. sometimes i stop playing 20 or 30 min and when i turn the steering wheel does not respond to the buttons (only the buttons to switch modes work, i have to switch from ps4 / ps5 to pc mode and i go back to ps4 / ps5 and it works again) Before finishing the update 428, I had to turn off the base and turn it on again to be able to finish the update correctly. the screen has stayed in "please wait .." I was very scared. I am more and more afraid to update it.
Handbrake calibration is only working when handbrake is connected to the pedals or via the USB Adapter, not when connetcted to the wheel Base. This was the same in the old UI.
Hello!!. After testing the new v41a engine quite a bit. The sensations are very good. But haven't you noticed a dead zone in the central zone? As if the FF did not exist in the central part. And when you turn a few degrees, you start to notice the FF. Above all I notice it a lot in iracing !!. Greetings!!!
Thank you for the video. It seems that the issue is better/worse depending on the wheel and slight hardware differences and that it is probably not possible to solve it for every wheel. I'll get in contact with some people to find out what we can do.
The one extra P DD motor firmware file posted here is the same which was posted in the discussion of the previous driver. I did re-post it here because it didn't made it into the installer yet but I wanted that people not knowing the old post can give it a try as well.

Shifter paddle stopped working again, I have a case with Fanatec support so I take it with them. 👍
Must be something with the pins in the QR.
Marcel, have you guys seen this or otherwise are aware the new drivers are not playing nice with Forza Horizon 5?
https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/24154/how-to-make-fanatec-to-work-with-forza-horizon-5#latest
Its a game issue, nothing to do with the new drivers.
Affects also Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels, the game dev needs to fix these issues.
If I used the test motor firmware can I revert afterwards if I don't like it?
yes
How and do you recommend the firmware?

PS4 DD1 with Formula Wheel
You mean the v41 which is included in the driver or the v41 test Export firmware Marcel provided separately in the first post?

I mean the test software.
I agree with Sascha the "41a" test export is indeed better than the 41. Tested both on F1 2021 lots of hours...
Are they not the same file posted twice? 1st post, 8 Nov, 08:05, and subsequent post, 08:09, both file same size.
Are they different? Or are we talking about something else…
Good evening, can you upgrade from 373 to 428 ??? my base will not break ???DD1
Yeah just play F1 2021 and it finally feels like an F1 car.
Just my steering wheel button problem is annoying ....
Nobody can hive you a warranty that nothing breaks, no.
It's a big step from 373 to 428. Maybe you wanna make a step in between from 373 to 402 and from there to 428.
We are talking about something else. The motor firmware included in the driver is not the one posted in the first post.
Thank you Marcel, the USB swap made it work. I'll bookmark this post for future reference if I need to try the other options.
Man! Give me your address, I will order you something to drink! You saved my day and avoid sending it back to Fanatec support! 😁
Anyone know why the website for the CSL DD download page is still showing 415?
I went from 381 to 427 beta without any problems (DD1, multiple wheels) :)

The new Firmware UI is missing the handbrake calibration feature
Because 428 is too new and there was no time to upload it to the webshop sites yet.
Nope. They are intentionally missing.

maybe a hardware issue like a loose contact, I suggest to contact support if you are bothered by the issue
