Quick ?: Xbox series X, DD1, Formula V2.0, V3 pedals
1) when on the FFB set point screen on the DD1 I rarely get a feedback over 20% mid turn and 2-3% on straightaway corrections, could you explain what this means and how it might help to adjust it?
2). There are two blocks on the right side of same screen that look like brake and acceleration, could you explain what they are and how to use them tune the feedback or load cell/throttle?
Curious what settings I should be looking for. Oh, I’m exclusively on F122 and obviously no fanalab compatibility with Series X.
I've had these vibrations on my GT DD Pro, along with cogging and extrem clipping on GT Sport. I contacted Fanatec support and they sent me these firmwares too. That got it all nearly resolved. Point is: these issue were present from the moment I turned on my setup in a sparsely heated room. The motor had no time to get too hot.
To end on a positive note: this 1.0.3.2 firmware is better than those test firmwares. I'm finally able to enjoy my GT DD Pro four month after purchase.
"this 1.0.3.2 firmware is better than those test firmwares" -> that sentence alone shows it's something else because in that Firmware the changes of the test exports are NOT included ;)
Awesome thanks. Any feedback on the effect of in-game FFB% slider versus using the force setting on the wheel? Is there a reason that most are around 50-70 in game for a title like F122 versus being at 100 and doing it all on the wheel? How do you recommend setting up a new game (say F1 23 when it comes out) in a general example. Appreciate the 201 lesson!
The v2, 918rsr wheel does not vibrate while using the 448 driver. The vibration test on the fanatec driver does not work. In the previous version, it worked version.
After updating to v448, sometimes the system does not detect the load cell, the BRF option does not appear in the steering wheel configuration and neither does the Fanatec software. After turning off and turning on again it is solved.
Yes, I connected them by usb only to update it (I had never done it before and I had them with the factory version). After updating them I removed the usb and I have left them connected to the base again.
Fixed BLI setting interfering with the "Wheel Vibration Test" button. •
Added a proper detection if CSL Elite V1 or CSL Elite V1.1 is attached to show the correct image of the respective Base.
General Wheel Base Firmware Improvements
Fixed non-working FunkySwitch Encoder of the ClubSport Universal Hub V1 (non-Xbox version). If you have a belt driven base and issues with the UHv1 and driver 448, install 449 and then do a manual wheel base firmware update. For the DD bases the update will be prompted.
as you can see 449 is installed i even deleted all other drivers and even cleaned the registry restarted in between then i did the log files and it showing pc driver 431 for some reason 431 is not deleting probably causing the crash . so if i am uninstalling the other software and cleaning the registry why with the 431 never go away ?
Speaking of the BLI function, are you able to offer any insight regarding what the future of this function will be? In particular as it relates to telemetry-based vibration?
I own a set of Clubsport V1 pedals, and am running the older v439 drivers. I am hesitant to upgrade further, as I've been told that the BLI function may not work correctly with my pedals in more recent drivers. This has lead me to believe that the BLI function is being phased out, in favor of only supporting telemetry-based vibration in future updates.
I think this is hardware related and to a certain degree normal with the motor.
Similar issue with my dd pro. Bought in June 22 and after driving for about 30min you could feel a very annoying vibration, almost like a constant current going trough the wheel. Received the test firmwares as well but didn't help. Support replaced the main pcb and the vibrations decreased to an acceptable level. Replaced my old p1 wheel with clubsport rs and the additional weight also helps with dampening the vibrations.

thanks in advance!
The % is the currently applied % of the available motor strength capability, so 20% on a DD1 = 4Nm.
The Bars are the FFB strength indicator bars, so basically the visualization of the %, left = CCW direction, right = CW direction.
I'm not sure about that too hot thing.

The v2, 918rsr wheel does not vibrate while using the 448 driver. The vibration test on the fanatec driver does not work. In the previous version, it worked version.
That is because you use BLI.
BLI is interfering with the Wheel Vibration Test so you need to set BLI to OFF when you want to test proper Steering Wheel Vibration functionality.
This will be fixed with the next driver so BLI no longer interfers with that test button.
After updating to v448, sometimes the system does not detect the load cell, the BRF option does not appear in the steering wheel configuration and neither does the Fanatec software. After turning off and turning on again it is solved.
Which Base?
Which Pedals?
Which Firmwares?
How are the Pedals connected?
Base: GT DD PRO
Pedals: CSL pedals LC
firmware: LATEST (updated yesterday via USB)
The pedals are connected to the base, I have not tried to use them connected by usb
You also updated the Pedal FW via USB?
When Fanatec releases the offisial 448 version?
on the site is it 447.
448 never, but 449 quite soon ;)
Yes, I connected them by usb only to update it (I had never done it before and I had them with the factory version). After updating them I removed the usb and I have left them connected to the base again.
Driver 449 available
Hotfix changes of 449 (since 448 beta)
Changed the name of the thread to 449 Release Candidate now. If no major issues are found we will soon replace 447 on the website with 449
as you can see 449 is installed i even deleted all other drivers and even cleaned the registry restarted in between then i did the log files and it showing pc driver 431 for some reason 431 is not deleting probably causing the crash . so if i am uninstalling the other software and cleaning the registry why with the 431 never go away ?

Can you shed any light on this matter?
