How am I supposed to track a UPS order without the tracking number? I hope it's on its way already. As soon as it arrives, I'll return it to buy the DD Extreme, but what a waste of time
Yes, I know. That's why I'm trying to get it canceled as soon as possible because I understand it hasn't left their warehouses yet, and as a customer, they shouldn't make me waste so much time. Consider that I'm waiting for them to send me the DD+. If they send it on Monday, considering I live in Spain, it probably won't arrive until the following week. When it does arrive, I'll return it because I want the DD Extreme. Then, we'll have to wait at least a week for it to return to Germany, plus two or three days for them to inspect and process the return. According to what I've read on the forum, the refund takes between 7 and 10 days. As soon as the money is back in my account, I'll order the DD Extreme, which means waiting at least another week for it to arrive at my house once it's shipped. If everything goes well and quickly, we're looking at another month of waiting, and I've already been waiting a long time for the DD+. Besides, we're aware of the shipping problems Fanatec has, so I don't even want to think about how much longer this process could actually take. That's why I think it would be more logical for them to cancel it before sending me anything, so I can order the DD Extreme directly
yeah, that now i guess depends also how many emails waiting them at Monday if there way too many they may not even able read that till its already too late
Not sure where the idea comes from that it is not possible to cancel the CS DD+ order and change to a GT DD X. Of course that is possible and we are actually quite happy to do so.
Despite the big backlog in our inbox, we are trying to filter out requests for cancelation and prioritize them. We are not working on weekends but next week you should get your cancelation confirmation and then you can order the GT DDX.
That's too good to be true. I really didn't expect any response, but the fact that you're specifically letting me know that you're working on allowing me to cancel the DD+ so I can order the DD Extreme is such good news and it makes me so happy. Thank you, and I hope everything goes perfectly
I don't intend to cancel my order, but there are a few reasons people don't think they can just cancel DD+ orders and upgrade to the DD X bundle:
The email received when moved to warehouse says you can no longer cancel your order
The cancel button is gone once moved the the warehouse.
Support has be terribly slow.
Serial numbers are required to write a support ticket on the product and have not been received if the product has not been received.
I tried to write a support ticket through "sales" about my DD+ order and the webpage to do so is in Japanese. I am in the US.
Support has never been willing to just change your order. They always make you cancel and reorder. Many people need their money back to make the new order. If they could just make changes they could just add or remove cost. Not be stuck waiting for transactions, and being moved to the back of the line.
Also. Please don't filter out my emails. ;) I am still awaiting tracking info and I am a day one DD+ preorder. Each day that passes without tracking makes me 5% more sad...
It's great that you're pointing out the obvious issues when it comes to canceling. This affects me directly since, as I mentioned in previous comments, I'm the first one interested in canceling my order and requesting the DD Extreme package.
I believe he's referring directly to the cancellation tickets, which don't require serial numbers. That being said, I'm not 100% sure if the way I submitted the cancellation ticket is valid, and I'm also not sure if they'll let me cancel it. According to the CEO, they do allow cancellations, so we'll see next week.

Oh I know it's fairly obvious, but if we're ever going to get some change. We likely need to be more literal and less emotional.
Anyone who has decided to stick with Fanatec, DD+ orders, or wants to upgrade their order will need them to make these changes they promised in the future.

Is this documented anywhere? I haven't seen or read this and on Fanatec it doesn't mention compatibility on the wheel. It mentions this in the whats included, Steering Wheel for Gran Turismo® DD Extreme.
Not sure if that would be easier, depends on the turn around time with ups to fanatec and any potential issues that could arise such as lost package or something, , plus I do have other items coming with the DD+ that I want.
May just have to chalk it up to experience and lesson learnt. It is what it is.

It says "payment refused" I have tried using several credit cards, Paypal and have called the bank to check why I cant make the payment on Fanatec Website US, the banks did not see any declined transactions. May I know why cant I place orders? Ive sent several emails and tried live chat on your website with completely no response… I have missed all the black friday deals and feel so helpless with your unreachable customer service. It’s really frustrating… I have been sending emails all the way back since November until now… without a single acknowledgement
Ok, thanks. I still haven't seen that documented. If that's the case Fanatec needs to update the compatibility info on all the bases. The GT DD Pro and all other wheel bases state they are compatible with all Fanatec wheels provided they have the correct QR.
I also don't intend to change my order, but another reason would be:
You can't cancel part of an order, so if you have an order which included BF deals for example, then you can't cancel unless you're happy to forego those other items or their discounts.

I know it's only been a few days since the release but we've only seen European orders confirmed being sent out via UPS and some posts but nothing from anyone in the United States. I have a Fedex account and usually I would get a notification if a label was created for me which it hasn't yet. According to earlier emails and posts the DD+ units should be available in the warehouses to ship so if possible could we get a status on that. I have a whole new rig waiting for this base and I don't have anything else to use so I'm stuck. Thank you again for taking the time to post here.

you login into the UPS page and look if something is transferred or not

Currently the GT X is indeed incompatible with any other base and let's any base immediately crash when you attach the GT X.
Support for other bases is also not planned AFAIK.
