You are Correct that Fact is Not Stated🤓....But it has been Mentioned that they Need to update the Fact sheet for the Update process...Hopefully Fanatec will update it Soon.
Dont worry its Not complicated... Once you unplug the PBME the option to update the Podium Hub will show its self in the update Menu.
The Fanatec update processes Not hard, complicated or a very involved process once you become familiar with it... Once you do it a few times you will be a Pro at it.
But I have being a loyal customer for a long time and this wheel is by far the one which I spend more time assembling, updating and etc. In my opinion, for people who doesn't know how to do basic stuff on computers and expecting something like the Xbox Hub, this will make them totally lost.
I'm primarily a console player - and picked up the new endurance Porsche podium wheel combo for my DD1 PS4. Reading this thread, I've been hesitant to upgrade the firmware on my DD1 since I really don't want to break GTSport and F1 compatibility with my other wheels (BMW, F1, and X-Box).
Does anyone know if I will have problems with the PS4 on my DD1 (esp. with the other wheels) if I follow the steps in the first post? (Load driver 353, install the updated firmware (670.1821 I believe??), and follow the button box steps)?
I've had the new wheel for a couple weeks, but still haven't installed it out of fear the rest of the setup will quit working. 😢 Am I best to keep waiting until a full updated driver is released?
i could confirm you there won't be a problem, i had updated 353 with PBME, and i played GTSport with new Porsche podium wheel, UHX and formula V2, all are working fine.
I did the upgrade on my DD1 PS4 to v353 and the latest firmware for base and driver. I also updated the original F1 rim firmware. I wanted to be ready for the Porsche Podium wheel. I played for one hour in GTSport when the F1 rim suddenly disconnected from the base. The rim is bricked and Fanatec Support warned me from mounting the Podium Porsche wheel which just arrived yesterday. They fear that the internal power from the base to the rim might brake the PBME and Hub if mounted to the base. I'm waiting for Fanatec sales support to contact me regarding RMA for repairs at their workshop.
So many updates going in and out in some moment brick my base.
With the DD1 and Clubsport F1 2019 I have a lot of issues(Freezing during the power on).
I really prefer to have my steering wheel delayed and have the process really tested by them, instead being a beta tester and taking a change to brick my base.
Just a quick info beside: On Xbox One the latest beta driver V669 and V670 will completely freak out the sensitifity of the wheel. In addition the Button Module Endurance does NOT work with Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox. So at the moment I can NOT use my Podium Wheelbase DD1 and the new Porsche 911 GT3 Rim with P-BME at all. I really hope that Fanatec will fix this issues soon. These issues makes these products unusable for me.
I hope the eventual Clubsport base support isn't initially as bad as Podium support is now. Fanatec should not be selling the Clubsport versions and take down or alter the images of the displays and replace them with compatibility mode versions. They put their wallet in front of customer satisfaction. I'm not angry or bitter because I knew what I was getting into but I feel for all the others who are not as informed.
I didn't realize how smart I was being when I totally forgot to plug my usb into the hub and then tried to update firmware 8 times before I realized my module wasn't plugged in! LOL
Is it just for me or does anyone else noticed this:
If you open the driver, the two rotary buttons indications on the PBME don't match with the driver, if I put them on "0" in driver shows "11" is this the same for everybody?
Is it only me having this annoying button issue with the P-BME? Due to this issue I can NOT use my new Porsche wheel in Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox. Are there any plans for an hotfix, or do I need to wait until the next beta driver release (which could take a couple of weeks)?
Well... DD2, new Porsche wheel+endurance button box, all software/firmware updated, and NO Fanalab installed - was disconnected on 1 second during the race... Of course, car was crashed.
This has never happened before, on Formula v2 with 452 drivers...
And this happened with new porsche wheel not once with colleagues in iRacing forum. 5-6 posts about this.
Does Fanatec know about this problem? Any work progress with it?

Did you get it sorted???
No yet, As soon I return to my home I wil try again.
Is this firmware V2 include on the package?
Is just me, or this became very complicate ? I was expecting something more plug and play.
Assemble the entire wheel, a lot of complicate sequences to make it work.
Regards

Indeed.

Marcelo
Well, I did everything and the endurance module doesn't turn on.
The base and podium hub are working fine. I can map my shifters and calibrate it normal.
Unfortunately I did not received any reply back from fanatec's support too.

You should have no problems

This is my biggest concern.

The BME doesn't show anything on the display when putting on the wheel?
Is the of the BME cable properly plugged in and not loose?
Which is the exact state of firmware and driver versions you have right now?
Nop... nothing.. nada!
It's connected.
Base: V670
Podium rim: V2
The support started the RMA, I hope I can be using this until next week. I miss my Iracing sessions.
Marcelo, just to compare your firmwares and drivers as mine works.
I have the following:
Driver: V353
Base: V670
Motor: V38
WQR: V5
Podium Hub: V2
PBME: V9
Do you have the same?
i can't get the module endurance detected, i update the base to 670 and pc driver to 353
Unplug your PBME from your Podium Hub...
The Podium Hub Must Be Updated Separately 1st/ without PBME plugged in
***Podium Hub and PBME are Different/ Separate updates***
after Hub is updated Plug the PBME USB-C back into the Podium Hub and Update the PBME.
I didn't realize how smart I was being when I totally forgot to plug my usb into the hub and then tried to update firmware 8 times before I realized my module wasn't plugged in! LOL
Exactly....Your not alone...I did that too🤣🤣🤣
The problem of getting too excited when having a new "toy" to play with 😋😂
if you're watching and look closely at the 911 cup in car camera, you can see one that actually works.
😬😄😅😂🤣😢😭🤢🤮
Hi,

Yes, see known issues on page 1 in the first post. It's only a visual issue in the driver, in Game it works correctly.
Ok thanks, I remember to read first post, but honestly don't remind this one, probably was added later...
Remember to see people complaining they can't use the omp round wheel with the PBME...
You just need to mod it a bit...
Yes, this is a known issue when using the BME with the UHX. Should be solved with the next driver release.
Many thanks Maurice - your support is really appriciated!
