Noticed in Dirt Rally 2 the wheel jolts to the right, quite forcefully, after it loads into the Drivers seat before the race starts, either a in rally race or a rallycross race.
Looks like a Virus scanner called "microsoft" is saying 1.47b is infected? it was the only one out of 57, but typically when there is a one-off, it's some random scanner that's not widely known.
Hi Edgar, i had freezes with my Formula V2 and my DD1. After some time (beginning weeks between freezes, at the end i cant drove one lap at leman without) the freezes destroy my races. I cant shift or make any input direkt on the wheel. Had to restart the Base and than everythink works fine till next freeze. Try all driver Versions and also clean new installation of Windows.
After three month of testing i decide to start a RMA and send it back.
I decide now to go with a Porsche 911 GT Wheel. Support of Fanatec tell me if i order the Formula wheel again it is not sure that it work 100% without issue.
This version seems to give me problems with braking.
I am new with fanatec so I may have got it wrong.
When I use the beta & set my brakes with the windows app so I don't need to press hard to get full braking then when i connect my PS4 & use ACC the 1st time I use my brakes I can press with less force to stop the car.
as I keep using the brakes I notice I have to press more & more until I fully press down on the sponge to get full braking.
So it seems the settings change as I drive more.
Drv 311 fwv476
Menu now shows :ABS
Now I have gone to (shown on wheel base) QA ver 476 / 18 which seems to give me consistent braking.
What difference is there between versions 670 and 674 of the Wheel Base Firmware? Is it ok to run firmware version 670 with the new driver package? Version 674 is causing random disconnections. I have reinstalled the old firmware version for the Wheel Base, but am running the new firmware version for the motor and wheel. It seems to work ok.
374 naming convention follows that of 372/373 which also does not make clear it is beta by file name. Changelog is largely a cut and paste of 372/373 claiming fixes that were said to be fixed in the last beta. Reading between the lines it appears that only the base firmwares have been updated so that the WRC wheel works. Who knows why they claim to have made all the other changes in the 374 changelog. Probably because Fanatec themselves are struggling to work out what the delta is that the changes are in comparison to - is it the last release or the last beta. No doubt there will be sarcastic comments soon to any confused users who are struggling to work out which unfinished driver package they should be installing.
The newest driver for DD1 makes my 918 rim disconnect very often.. Buttons stop working completely during race, and all the force feedback disappears.. After half a minute or so, it reconnects again..
Everything is tight, no pins are broken, all cables are fastened properly. This seems to be a driver issue.. Perhaps the FanaLab? I have dynamic dampening active, vibration set to 80 and use ABS and engine vibration. Below I have listed the versioning.
Update driver and FW separately to isolate an issue and find out if its caused by driver OR firmware - Done
Which driver OR firmware does show the issue - 373
Which driver OR firmware does not show the issue - 356
Check if you can reproduce the issue again if you go back to the version which seems to have cause the issue - It's reproducable, it happens a few times during a few hours of use.
Post the answers gathered from the questions above + a short description of the issue including the following information:
Wheel Base Model (product ID): ... Fanatec Podium DD1
After a week with the new driver and no problem except little shocks during the session on RR , Dirt2.0 , ACC .the problem arises now or rather while driving on RR , ACC , Dirt 2.0 ,I lose the steering wheel controls.
I have to turn off the DD1 and restart and averything come back normal and the last a few minuts and lose the signal again

Few posts up, I have same issue. Maurice explained:

The RMA process is a joke, they have my $$ and my gear, I have nothing and they will not respond to me.
Does anyone know why it won't let me update the firmware on the Podium Hub?
On new CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC page https://fanatec.com/eu-en/csl-elite-steering-wheel-wrc There is driver 374 listed.
Do we have changelog :)
edit .. aah in the zip file it is changelog.txt
The new driver 374 is not marked as beta driver, is this an official release driver?
?
Motor FW
materiel : formula v2 , base 1.1

Your wheel base does not have a motor firmware and Tuning Menu is not supported on your wheel base as well.
Mhm? Yes your driver is 373.
Pourquoi j'ai pas mon onglet preset ?
Please post your question in english only according to the forum rules.
You mean the Tuning Menu? Because your Wheel Base does not support that feature.

Keeping latest drivers and going back to Fanalab's previous version fixed the problem
Not necessarily. Sometimes they simply ignore us ...
