please keep an eye on this, if it happens more often, go back to a previous driver which worked for you and also flash the old firmware versions manually to double check if it really came with this driver.
to me this sounds like a hardware defect if its also happening with older firmwares.
As I have a testbench with every Fanatec Base here I just tested the CSW v2.5 with Firmware 679 and attached the McLaren to it and I did not had this issue so its not a general issue of this driver/firmware I would say.
Hi Maurice, that was my point. It didn’t happen before. I don’t use that wheel often, but I did last week.
I don’t want to reverse the update and lose the benefits for my base and other wheels, and I’m not likely to change wheels mid race. So powering the base back up isn’t a big deal, as long as I’m not potentially causing any further damage. I was just curious as to whether the update could be responsible and how.
well, for now its a beta driver which is a possible release candidate to go on the webshop pages when no major issues are reported.
With beta drivers, you kind of agree to help to identify if a possible issue is directly related to this new driver so you kind of agree to test against with older drivers...
Of course its not good for the base that it gets shut down when you attach the wheel so this kind of bugs are the reason for public beta tests...
So it would really help if you could downgrade back to the driver you used before and downgrade to the firmwares of that driver to see if its still happening with that driver and also if its still happening when you re-install this 380 again.
My CSW V2.5, the fans do not seem to activate, not sure if this is something anyone else has noticed, or yet too notice.
Recorded a short clip to those interested, fan turns on when i press the 'start' button, and stays on whilst syncing, turns off when finished syncing/calibrating. Will try some games and see if anything happens.
The min/max button issue with the CSP V3 still exist.
In the drive menu I have to uncheck "Enable CSP V3 maual mode" clicking apply, than I have to check the same option, click apply again and than the min/max buttons are available.
This was tested intensively and its fixed for everyone internally.
Which Base do you have?
So when no wheel is attached, the pedals are running in Manual Mode connected to the Base, when you open the property page of driver 380 you are still missing the min/max and vibration test buttons? Can you post a screenshot or better a short video?
Are the buttons also re-appear when you just go to settings Tab and then back to Function Test Tab? Usually that's enough to get the missing buttons back so it's no big deal as you dont need these buttons every time you just open the driver (but something which should be fixed properly)
No, that did'n work, but I found out if I unplug and plug in the cable of the CSP the buttons will appear after a few seconds. I think it has something to do with initalising the pedals.
I should probably ask a more useful question, does V380 make any changes to CSW V2.5 fan profile/curve?
I have just driven in both AC/ACC (around 2+ hours total) and the rear exhaust fan hasn't switched on. Am I safe to assume that I can continue using my V2.5 wheelbase on the V380 package?
I can't report any change in FFB/Responsiveness etc... compared to last night when I was using V365 with the fans sounding like they were on a 60-70% load. Curious mostly... Thanks
Is it maybe because of the game which sends commands to both pedals? I think thats the case in iR for example but not 100% sure right now.
EDIT: Ah or is this maybe a FanaLab related issue? Can you confirm both vibration motors visible turning at the same time and you only have enabled rev limitier vibration for throttle?
Sensible advice. To see my earlier post, quoted below -
"Well, I installed this and initially thought my issues were fixed. But after 45 mins the PBME locked up again - lights stuck and no buttons worked. Shifter pedals and steering still fine. Tabbed to Fanalab and refreshed my devices - the PBME disappeared and Fanalab only saw the Podium Hub. Opened the Fanatec Wheel Property Page and it also couldn't see the PBME. Pulled the wheel off then replaced it and all back to normal - until the next time!"
I can't help thinking this could be something other than a hardware issue, possibly a Fanalab issue or an issue that has been present in v373 or v380. Yet the advice I have been given previously is that this is most likely hardware so I will need to go through the time consuming, disruptive and expensive RMA process. Would welcome your thoughts on that. BTW - support contact form still broken on the website.jhn
Removed 372, Reboot, installed 380, Reboot, Hook the Base onto the PC, installed everything until no more pop-ups were appearing.
And the same happening as with 372, no manual calibration for the pedals possible, only after un-checking-applying-checking-applying the "V3 manual mode" checkbox. No big issue, as it's fina afterwards, but still an issue...

Fair point. Messing with firmware is an anxious time, but I’ll give it a go

I have a CSL Elite Wheel Base + (PS4™ version) and the CSP are connected to the wheel base.
Are the buttons also re-appear when you just go to settings Tab and then back to Function Test Tab? Usually that's enough to get the missing buttons back so it's no big deal as you dont need these buttons every time you just open the driver (but something which should be fixed properly)

Might be placebo or whatever else but I feel my CSW 2.5 so much better now.
Did you by chance restart the PC after uninstalling the older driver and after installing the new one?
Yes, the driver installation requires a reboot.
CSW V2.5 / F1 2018 V2 / CSL Elite LC
V380 installed / Firmwares updated.
Few hours run on iRacing. No problem observed so far.
Thank you. 👍

I have a CSL Elite Wheel Base + (PS4™ version) ClubSport Formula, few hours of gaming all good so far, it feels better somehow.
Hi,
No mention of the pedal vibration issue with PBME and Inv V3 pedals, ie. rev limiter vibration going to both brake and throttle.
Is this issue fixed in this version ? or acknowledged / worked on for the next ?
Thx.
This is nothing which can get reproduced and is most likely a hardware issue.
Hi.
sad to say, but first freeze on Xbox after two hours with DD2 and V2 wheel :((
Most likely a hardware issue ... :-)
Seems strange that all of a sudden so many people are experiencing hardware issues.
How did the freeze happen? Did the whole base freeze?
Is it maybe because of the game which sends commands to both pedals? I think thats the case in iR for example but not 100% sure right now.

Guys don't be too quick regarding hardware issue claims!

Hi Sascha,
freeze occured while gaming ACC like it did on 373. All V2 buttons and APM pedals stopped working, steering and V3 pedals were still fine.
Have to switch off the base and start new, then evrything is fine again.
Will try how often it happens at the weekend and also will try out the other wheel (Universal Hub/BME/APM).
Regards
@ Maurice/Sascha: same here on identical setup:
CSL E+ PS4, CSP V3i connected to Base
Removed 372, Reboot, installed 380, Reboot, Hook the Base onto the PC, installed everything until no more pop-ups were appearing.

Cheers, Mike
This sound more like a wheel freeze then, as steering inputs and the base itself still were responsive. Thx for the report.
I'am not if it's fine after this workaround is done. Because I noticed, after every reboot the max level of pedal travel it shorter as it could be.
In other words I press the throttle reaching the max and haveing more pedal way to press. So in my oppinion after every reboot the max point is lost.
Sorry for my english, I can better explain in german.
