Then you did flashed the Firmwares but not the drivers... :D
The driver actually can NOT update the driver on it's own.
It can only direct you to the download page of the new driver but then the user still has to do everything manually, nothing is going to be automatically.
So the user has to click the downloaded msi file to install the new driver.
So that's your issue, you never installed 432 but only started the Manager to flash firmwares...
OK... but I followed the instructions to the letter, as is indicated... with the red arrow, I switched to manual firmware Update and then have clicked on the Manual Wheel Base Firmware Update button... after which everything happens automatically and I can not indicate where I saved the 432 driver file.
Clearly I had misinterpreted the indications... anyway thanks, all solved 👍️
Hi, after updating to version 431, the problem with the automatic switching on of the turn signal light in the GTS has been solved, the DD1 and the Porsche GT3 wheel are now working great, thank you very much.
Thanks a lot for the quick reply Maurice, you really help us to resolve probs mate!
Trying to understand this Maurice cos I really cant comprehend it.
With the latest Drivers from Fanatec the Forza 5 is simply unplayable and crashes on Desktop every one min in whatever scenario you are in the game. Being desperate to make my (100 euros) Forza 5 running with my 1500 euros DD1 Wheelbase, I followed the instructions of a user in Youtube where he says to uninstall the latest Fanatec Drivers and downgrade to the Fanatec Drivers 356, which I installed (together with the old Fanalabs 1.23) and since then the game runs smooth as butter and never crashes! But again I am so many generations of Fanatec Drivers back.
Can you pls explain me Maurice why this happens? So I am a bit confused whether is a Fanatec problem (since its working with the 356 drivers) or Playground's problem. What i know for sure is that is a pity to pay such amounts of money and one of the best DD wheels out there and being unable to play a Microsoft title. Really unbelievable in my eyes...
Because there is not much to add as obviously only the Game Developers know what they did wrong.
It's 100% a game issue when they have problems with any newer driver from the last 2 years when every other game runs fine so THEY have to adapt and they admitted they will.
Maurice thanks again buddy. Do you have a clue how many people have paid millions of dollars for Fanatec Wheels and Forza Horizon 5 and the game is unplayable for them all? Hundrends if not thousands. Google a bit to have a picture. The game is still today unplayable for a month since its release and Fanatec throws the blame to Playground and the opposite. The final consumer -WHO PAYS- doesnt care abt all those mate. The game is advertised as "supports Fanatec wheels" and Fanatec advertises its wheels as "Forza Compatible". Both are not happening right now!
Who is to blame fo this? I believe its fair for both Companies to sit down on a table and find a SOLUTION asap if they wish to show at least the basic RESPECT to those customers who are supporting them with their hard earned money all those years and not playing the chicken egg game with phrases like "only the Game Developers know what they did wrong." . And lets say Maurice that the Developers will NEVER spend time to correct this. We will end up with a wheel and a game broken and Fanatec will stay claim "its the developers prob"? You have to push them (somehow) to resolve it. You are not a Chinese unknown company. You are FANATEC! Use your power/influse to the Developers!
Of course nothing personal with you, quite the opposite, but here we are talking for a circus situation....it reminds me when we were kids....it was not me mum.....its him who did....:-)
Raise your voice against the Game Developers in their Forums because THEY have to fix it, nothing Fanatec can do other than pushing for a fix with a new Game Patch (which they do).
😎 ( I do not raise any voice to anyone, just documenting THE facts). Im my view you have similar responsbility to PUSH THEM to fix it like we as customers have of course the same too, but this doesnt make Fanatec the innocent Pontius Pilatus here...sorry...its not fair..
Please try the following (while F1 wheel is attached) with the attached application and let me know if it helps. The command you send with the application below should trigger a wheel firmware update.
I have a question about centre return. Sometimes my CSL DD goes into a mode where it's always on, even if I reboot the base. I am on driver 429 firmware 1.0.5.3, but it's happened pretty much since I got it.
I left it on in PC/red mode and rebooted windows, and was testing it constantly by spinning the wheel left and right. As soon as windows loaded and the driver kicked again in the return turned off and acted normally.
I also noticed that in iracing and ams2, red light (normal) and compat (yellow) modes acted differently on this sometimes with the same tuning menu. Red does not centre, yellow usually likes to return.
I doubt a bit that it helps because if the it gets recognized as a Formula V2 the updater won't accept a firmware which is meant for the McLaren wheel.
You either cant speak english properly or you're just ignorant. It is absolutely 100% a game issue, Forza developers have to implement a fix which they have stated they will do as it is a KNOWN ISSUE. You can either downgrade your driver or use emuwheel meanwhile and still enjoy the game. I am also a Fanatec customer and had no problem setting up emuwheel which took about 10 minutes and being able to play Forza no issue, but I guess for some people (like you) its better to ramble on in the forums which will achieve nothing.
You can also drive any other game with the most recent driver and it won't crash. Only because an older driver works with FH5 doesn't mean its a problem of the driver. it could be a feature which got introduced with a later driver and wasn't implemented right for example but no one knows.
If you are just searching for someone to blame, you are on the wrong path as it won't help anyone. Only thing which helps is to be constructive and provide useful information and, in a friendly manner, raise attention where needed.
The issue is known, it has high priority for us and the game developers. We are in contact with the game developers and provided all information we could and will provide any additional if helpful and they do their best to try and reproduce and fix it. It seems to be complex and not easy, so it takes longer. It doesn't seem to happen for everyone and didn't happen for some of their test PCs which is why the issue wasn't detected before and takes longer to find the root cause.
Lets be happy that using an older driver helps as a workaround so your 1500 hardware and 100 game doesn't need to sit in the corner.
How do you know that we don't push on a regular basis? Why do you assume it and call it a fact? Quite rude and disappointing to read for someone which took this issue serious from day one and tried his best to help them fix it.
There is a constant center spring when USB is not detected, it should go away if detected properly by the PC. If it doesn't go away it might help to open the UI or to run the repair function of the driver installer in the mode where it doesn't work as it should.
Updater starts base seems to turn off, display goes off, then nothing and after a short while firmware updater says not responding so I close updater. The base is not detected by any software however it still seems to be on and wont turn on but pulling the usb gives the disconnect sound. Pull power from base and then it eventually turns back on.

Podium DD1 manual firmware update worked fine.
The only issue is that the updater doesn't change to the CAL screen automatically with the hourglass symbol & Please Wait showing indefinitely.
You have to close the updater manually and then once you do this you can run CAL as usual from the Fanatec Control Panel.
This has been like this since 429 release
Cheers Q
Podium DD1
Podium Hub
Podium Paddle Module
Podium BME
Clubsport V3 pedals
432 works a treat on CSL E 1.1 base, F V2, V3 Pedals 688/43/22 Windows 11
DRI negative is back :)
Cheers

It's a Playgrounds Problem and they already aknowledged it and promised they will fix it soon in the near future.
Maurice your answer doesnt cover me when -repeat- I am able to drive with the 356 driver of Fanatec and not with the new ones but its ok...

Can you check if the quick release sits well in the base shaft?
If you think its not correct, loosen the clamp, push the QR in so it sits flush, re-tighten the clamp properly, 15Nm if you have a tool available.
Please try the following (while F1 wheel is attached) with the attached application and let me know if it helps. The command you send with the application below should trigger a wheel firmware update.
In case it doesn't work you need to contact support.

Is your driver installed on C:/ or somewhere else?
Please try to select the attached file manually and see if it helps.
If the base is not detected in compatibility mode:
possible alternative solution could be to switch to a different USB

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately my base no longer boots. am in contact with the support.

Get on their forum and make some noise there.

Thakns Marcel. I gave it a try and got the following error:
Do you have any other suggestions perhaps?
Thanks,
Richard
Starts turns base off then thats it!
....... a bit more information would be very helpful like what gear you have etc. There is a checklist how to report issues in the first post!

Updated now detached the wheel as it was the Button Module Endurance.
