I have CSL LC pedals attached to GT DD Pro wheelbase via RJ12. Most of these patches include firmware updates for pedals however they can only be applied via USB connection. I've never done this because I'm too lazy to unbolt my pedals so I can plug them in via USB. Is this something I really should be doing or does having them connected to the wheelbase negate the need to update pedal firmware via this method?
No problems at all on my end. And I think the FFB is indeed better (more refined in some aspects) and probably stronger but I haven't raced for 3 weeks so it might be false. And I only ran AC so far.
Thanks Maurice. To avoid having to unbolt pedals in the future to update firmware, would it be possible to leave a USB cable attached and tucked away? Then if I need to update firmware I could unplug RJ12 from wheelbase then connect USB to PC. I know it says USB & RJ12 should never be connected at the same time but can both cables be attached as long as only one is connected to wheelbase or PC?
Hi Maurice, DD2 Formula V2.5 I am feeling the same thing, in ACC when I hit the brakes and the wheel vibrates and it keeps going for ages, and the randomly stops a lap or so later. Definitely not normal. Those vibrations are similar to the rev limiter ones in the wheel.
Hi Maurice, what about the abnormal vibrations that Buyngwoo mentioned. I have DD2 with a Formula V2.5.

So should I disconect everything from the cls GT DD pro first before updating the base then plug it all in and update the rest except the v3 which need to be done on there own...?
So if I have a set of CSP v1's connected through the wheelbase via RJ12, will I still be able to use BLI with this newest driver? I really enjoy the vibration feature, even if it is "fake". (To be clear, I'm only interested in getting vibration from the pedals themselves, I don't really care about vibration being passed to the wheel since my wheel doesn't support that feature anyway (McLaren V2)).
But The question is. If if 429 driver can we update directly to the 442 or we have to go through the previous as well. 🤔
For me first time in 2 years that mine got stuck in the 100% fan. Not being recognized and firmware was updates through bootloader several times. Scared shitless cause in the UAE no RMA process or anything. 🙄
Deleted the new. Installed 429 that was the previous and thank God is not an expensive paperweight.
Hmm ok, thanks Maurice. I guess I'll give it a go at some point. I'm still on v439 with my CSL DD and pretty happy with how everything feels, so not really in a rush to change and potentially mess things up.

Yes you should Disconnect the RJ12 and connect them via USB to do the firmware update which improves the pedals.

Just out of curiosity when we do a calibration why do we have to do it with the wheel detached?
Because otherwise the cogging can not be improved because with a heavy wheel the cogging steps are not felt properly by the base.

What? When does it do the calibration? We are not talking about center calibration?
He is talking about the motor calibration on Podium DD Bases which is not available on a CSL DD.
Yes, thats possible and its exactly the config I am using as well.
All works well with DD1 and V3 pedals. I leave the V3 USB cable permanently connected and just un plug from PC.
F1 2021 seems to have more fidelity and much easier to catch snap oversteer. Almost instantly reduced Baku TT lap time by 2 seconds, no assists.

Hi All ,
Updated my DD2 as Ive always done since Day 1 , everything worked normally until updating the PBME which appears to be bricked now .
Done the re installs , removals , restarts but nothing seems to help it
Any ideas ?

Sorry just want to make sure I do it right
Have a look at the FanaLab vibration settings, maybe you have Engine Revs or something enabled.
I do not have any kind of unwanted vibrations.
Try the BME Bootloader Recovery Tool which might help, if its not helping you need to contact the support.
DD1 and tried update latest firmwares.
Not me but friend of mine.
Anything what you can do?
Base do not start anymore!
Tried with three PC´s and few usb-cables.
With search there is few on forum who got same message but no solution.
Only option send it back to Fanatec? Still under warranty!
What is pending time to support? 2-3 weeks?!
Okay, thanks for that Maurice

I'm having the same problem with my CSL Elite 1.1 wheel base.
If it's offline 442 Fanatec Control Panel opens fine. But when I turn on the wheel base the application crash right away.
Application crash/wont open if the wheel base is running.
It worked fine with my CSL Elite pedals, I was even able to update de FW.
440 works fine.
AFAIK BLI should be shown for any CSP, including CSP v1, as they also have a brake vibration motor.
Dont have a CSP v1 by hand so cant say for sure if BLI is really there though, so you would need to give it a try on your own...
Did you already tried a different USB port without any other USB peripheral connected other than Mouse/Keyboard?
Keep getting the same error - no response packet from target device
Yup. Usually is a user error.
I do agree.

Still getting brake input flicker on CSP V3 after updating
Thanks for the tip but yes.
Problem is that base do not even start anymore.
If keep power button pressed there´s light on display but it will shut down right after release power button.
Then you should contact the support and get it repaired as then it's a Hardware issue.
Same here today. :(
Same here, too. :(
