Hello I have the fanatec dd2 and I put exactly the same setup as Maurice for the mx5 but the force feedback is much too strong, it's impossible to turn the wheel. I have the same problem with all the other cars on iracing I don't understand why because we have the same steering wheel. It's like I have a steering wheel with 50nm instead of 25nm. If someone could find a solution to my problem I thank him in advance
Make sure to read the readme file included in my profiles pack in the iRacing folder to adjust the in game settings in the ini file. Then also make sure to NOT use strength but Max Force in iRacing, VERY important. Because the first value in the profile Name is for the Max Force, the second for the Wheel Force. If you use Strength instead of Max Force and then apply the first value then of course it's waaaaay too strong because for example 30 Strength is MUUUUUCH stronger than 30 Max Force.
So just follow everything in the readme and it should feel amazing. Otherwise your gear might be broken or you are too weak ;)
Too weak 😂 very funny. More seriously I followed all what you said. Don't worry I didn't confuse max force and strength, I'm not an idiot but the steering wheel just stays way too strong it's absolutely impossible to turn. By the way I have exactly the same problem on f1 22
Ok the settings are correct in both the Tuning Menu and in game.
Then I have absolutely no idea why its too strong for you.
I just tested the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup and in my testing I found it even too soft and I would decrease Max Force from 27 to 24Nm to get an even stronger steering resistance...
See this video, this is with my MX-5 Cup profile.. I can turn the wheel with just two fingers.... Its everything but definitely not too strong and impossible to turn the wheel. Thats reaaaaally strange.
Thank you Maurice for your help. I also think that I must have a problem with the base. Because for me it's impossible to turn the wheel with 2 fingers like in your video. I could make the same video tomorrow so that you can see for yourself but thanks for your help I see it more clearly now
My profiles are made with a DD2 and the Tuning Menu settings can be adapted to DD1 with some calculation but for everything else at least the Tuning Menu settings wont work.
Users with other Bases still can use the LED settings for immersive LEDs though.
And no, I wont be doing profiles for CSL DD, sorry.
Maybe someone else with a CSL DD finds the time to do something similar to my profiles in his freetime...
I bought recently the Endurance button module and started using ITM, i see that some values seem wrong like position X/Y where Y is always my entering position on the server and not really the amount of drivers, X is correct so i end up with funny situations like being 10/3 ....
This is a game issue of ACC where the game sends the player count once when you join a server and then never again, so ITM shows the total car count wrong when you did not joined the Server as the last Player.
However, we found a way to workaround this game issue and with the next version the total car count should update properly when new players join the Server.
Obviously a game effect, so not much you can do other than reducing FFB strength when its too strong.
BTW, 1.69.1 is outdated and you should use 1.69.2 (or wait for new 1.69.2 soon). Same for driver 448, was replaced by 449 and will soon be replaced by 450.
This is a release candidate and will go onto the website which then will trigger the update notification within older FanaLab versions probably next week if no critical issues are found until then.
I just updated my fanatec drivers and firmware since I was prompted to do so when opening fanatec control panel. I also updated fanalab from 1.69 to 1.69.4. Prior to the update, I believe I was on driver 447; I do not recall the previous firmware versions.
I'm currently using the following driver/firmware versions:
PC driver 450
Podium Wheel Base DD2 Motor Firmware: 3.0.0.2
Podium Wheel Base DD2 Firmware: 3.0.1.4
ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2 Firmware: 46
Wireless Quick Release Firmware: 6
After the driver/firmware updates I noticed that the fanalab "Main" screen now incorrectly shows my pedals as "CSL Elite Pedals V2 (Wheel Base)". Previously, they were showing up correctly as Clubsport v3's. The fanatec control panel shows the correct pedals ("Clubsport Pedals V3") so the problem seems isolated to fanalab - more specifically the fanalab "Main" screen.
From the "Game Profile" tab, I can load any of my saved profiles that have "Clubsport Pedals V3" listed in the 'device' section and I don't get any device mismatch warning. If I save a new profile, the device section does still save with "Clubsport Pedals V3" listed.
Additionally, if I go to the "Vibration" section, I still see "Pedal Brake: Clubsport Pedals V3" and "Pedal Throttle: Clubsport Pedals V3"..
So I'm not sure if anything is functionally broken but it does seem odd that the "Main" screen shows the wrong pedals where it was correct prior to all the updates. I've tried uninstalling fanalab completely and installing an older version (1.66) with the same result.
Is this a known issue or is there a way to fix this?
Nope, the refresh button just brings back the same devices.
Just out of my own curiosity, I went ahead and plugged the pedals directly into the PC via USB and opened Fanalab. They showed up as CSP V3. I then updated the firmware on the pedals from 1.30 to 1.35 and checked Fanalab again, still shows CSP V3.
Unplugged the USB and plugged the pedals back into the wheel base (DD2) and opened Fanalab; they show up as CSL Elite V2 again.
I've also tried reinstalling the driver, with reboots in between, etc. and I can't get any different results.
Comments
It's still under investigation, no ETA yet.
Hope it gets fixed soon, thanks for the reply

Then something must be broken.
My settings surely are on rhe stronger side but definitely far from impossible to turn....
Can you please post Screenshots of your in game settings and Tuning Menu settings of a loaded profile?
Thank you maurice for trying to help me

I really think your base is somehow broken.

Are all of these profiles only good for the DD2?
Is there going to be anything released in the future for the CSL DD?
Thanks!
My profiles are made with a DD2 and the Tuning Menu settings can be adapted to DD1 with some calculation but for everything else at least the Tuning Menu settings wont work.

Oh game is ACC, still need to check other games.
Which game?!
Hi, any chance to investigate? I realize there are more pressing issues.
thanks.
This is a game issue of ACC where the game sends the player count once when you join a server and then never again, so ITM shows the total car count wrong when you did not joined the Server as the last Player.
However, we found a way to workaround this game issue and with the next version the total car count should update properly when new players join the Server.
Yep, the issue with the not-working Laps in the ITM in iRacing should be fixed with the next version.
Hi Maurice I bought a new dd2 base and the force feedback is a bit better but I still have the same problem, the ffb is way too strong.
I don't know what I could have done wrong to have the same problem twice. For your settings to be correct I have to decrease by 2 the ffb on the wheel
Then I also dont know what's wrong, sorry.
Can only imagine that something is completely broken on your PC / your Windows installation...
Hi. Recently rFactor 2 received a huge update regarding GT3 cars.
Driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R, I noticed strong kickbacks on the shaft when ABS system kick in.
I'm using a DD1 with v448 drivers and FanaLab v1.69.1 with rF2 recommented Porsche profile.
Feedbacks on this strange behaviour?
Regards,
M.

Thanks for the reply. Problem is not the overall FFB, just kickbacks occuring during braking phase, problably due to the new ABS system.
M.
And as I said, there is nothing you can do with FanaLab against this when its a newly added effect with the biig GT3 update of the game...

First time I hear about it, did using the refresh button on the device list make any difference?
But if the functionality is still for the CSP V3 than it really seems just like a picture issue, we will have a look.
Nope, the refresh button just brings back the same devices.

Maybe you need to choose the correct pedal image in a flyout dropdown Menu.
hi,
how to change font size in FanaLab...?
it would be nice to have option inside FanaLab program to change font size.. im older and I need biger fonts :)
best to all
Not possible yet.
