Finally hope for 458 drivers :) And confirmed all our predictions that 456 and 457 are just issue-filled.

  • Dann würde ich die erste Seite auf die neue Version aktualisieren! Es ist nicht klar, auf welcher Seite sich die neuen Treiber/Firmware befinden.

Darauf bin ich durch den Support aufmerksam gemacht worden.

  • Please post in English according to the forum rules as already explained.

  • Then I would update the first page to the new version! It is not clear on which page the new drivers/firmware are located.

I was made aware of this by support.

  • latest Clubsport DD(++) firmware update is end of Page 8

  • No. Actually, apparently there wont be a driver 458 ever as internally we are already on 460 ;)

  • Should I downgrade my driver to 455, I’m on 457 using with the dd2 and it’s working great,

  • Is there anyway now to get 457? My DD2 is on 455 and have some issues getting into xbox mode and would like to try 457. I would apprecate a download if I can get it.

It seems like both options are equally good or bad. I think I've identified the problem for me! My DD+ via PC has had no interruptions for 24 hours now.

    @ Gavin

If everything is going well then why create problems for yourself

  • Hi Maurice, please if you can help me here I would really appreciate.

For long time now I have a repetitive issue with my DD2, something is wrong but not sure if is a driver or hardware issue, below my configuration:

Using PC, Windows 11, 23H2, is updated

    Base DD2 with QR2

    Driver: 457

    Firmware wheel base: 3.1.0.7

    Firmware Base Motor: 3.0.0.2

    Firmware Steering wheel: 2

    Firmware QR: 7

I use your Fanalab profiles (that are great bytheway), so as you know the strength is limited to 15Nm in the base.

    What is the issue:

After some time using the base, suddenly for around 1 or 1,5 seconds I lose all or almost all FFB while driving, after this 1 or 1,5 seconds gap the FFB comes back and everything is normal again. I started to notice this issue when I started to do very long races (more than 2hrs) in iRacing, something I never did before, usually it happened when driving straight for more than 1 hr or more, then sometimes I have this 1 or 2 sec lose of FFB. So at the beginning I thought it was related to use the base for so long time straight, maybe the base is "protecting" itself, as I never did it before, but lately I had a couple of times the issue while doing a normal short race, when using the base for less than 10 or 15min, also as said I am using only 15 NM in a 25Nm base so I am not using it even near its limits. The issue does not always happen, for example in 2 or 3 long races happens, but in the next one do not happen, also as said lately I had the issue in a couple of short races, but I had many many others it did not happen, so I can not replicate it, I do not know when is going to happen . All the time it happened it happened 1 time in the race, for example in a 2,5 hr race it happens after 1 hr once, not happening again the rest of the race.

For your info in the past I had several issues with the transformer/power block of my DD2 before, do not know if this could be related to the issue I have now, the issues I had before was different, suddenly the power block "reseted" when the FFB in the wheel was high, the green leed of the power block switched off and switched on again, like it was protecting/reseting itself, and this caused the base itself to switch off. You guys sent me a new power block and since then this issue did not happen again. This happened time before this new issue started to happen, no idea if could be related with this new issue or not.

I tried to install a previous driver, the 455 I think, but I still had the same issue.

As said I have this issue for many many months now, honestly with all the situation you guy had and the several issues I already had with the DD2 I was thinking seriously to solve the situation just moving to other brand definitely, but lately with the Corsair deal finally agreed and seems the idea is to reinforce Fanatec and make it stronger, I am reconsidering to stay and try to get the issue solved, as I like Fanatec products.

Please if you can help me here, what can I do to pinpoint the issue?, can I sent you some info so you can help me to identify the problem?, if you want I can sent you whatever file you need, tell me and I will send whatever is needed.

    Many thanks in advance

if play game that long, there could be start pop up small issues like memory leaks and so on. what could self start cause random issues.

the thing what you talk could be come from game self and nothing todo with hardware directly.

of course same thing could happen also with drivers. so that is unclear where that issue may come exactly.

    ---

stay away from C# if you doing hardware stuff

  • Hi, it can also be from the game?, yes I agree it is a possibility, but when I asked iRacing they told me it could come from my hardware of course, so back to square one, I think to figure out I need to start some plase.

I do not know, but maybe there are a file I can damp or similar from Fanatec side that I can download after I had the issue where could indicate if when I had the issue was a hardware issue or just the hardware lost the FFB requirement from the game, so I can have some indication from where the issue comes, and as explained I had before similar, but yes not equal, issues.

In short yes I agree could come from both sides: Fanatec hardware/firmware or iRacing, but of course iRacing says should come from my equipment, I really hope Fanatec will not say it should come from iRacing, and instead give me the tools to figure out, and if I have the prove it does not come from Fanatec side I can request iRacing the solution.

    I hope....

  • best would be if you try without Fanalab. i personally not use that at all

  • Hi Marcel, a question, to install this base firmware do you recommend the 455 driver or can 457 also work? Thank you🙏

    i want also say that.

iRacing have access for different hardware manufactures like all the other game developers, they see who complain most and who not.

so yes there could be higher change that issue comes from fanatec side.

  • Guys I know it’s not the place and people safe sick of asking but what’s with full force has anyone heard it’s ridiculous now at this stage it’s still in no game.

  • I would imagine it will be AC2.

Like you said tho, this is not the correct place for Full Force discussion…maybe create a new topic/discussion? 😊

  • I have had no issues with this combo on Windows 10 64 PC in red mode or PS5 in BLUE PS5 mode on PS5 on my GT DD X, metal QR2, CSL Elite Pedals, Fanatec hand brake connected to base.

I was getting soft disconnects before 2.2.3.7 on PS5 in Blue mode, so I switched to light blue PS4 mode as a work-around which worked without disconnects.

So if I have any soft disconnects with above FW combo in pic I'll report it here, but this seems to work and solve the soft disconnects for me so far. Maybe 20 hours of testing, I don't keep track exactly but it was several days of playing on PC and PS5. 👍

  • when hardware have issues, game developers may not have mood invest they time and money into product what is not finish yet.

just saying how i see it, i could be wrong at that and maybe they already cooking something

  • In my DD+ (457 drivers) I updated firmware:

    • CS_DD+_PS5_Disconnection_Fix_Test_Firmware_2_2_3_6.zip
    • CS_CDD(+)_Quick_Release_Firmware_1-1-0-3_test_release_disconnection_issue.zip

and now for a few days no disconnection! Before that, I had several disconnections per week. I also recommend it :)

  • I know, but I don't have any problems with my pedals clubsport V3...

  • Now that Fanatec have been thankfully purchased by Corsair, any word if my WRC wheel will finally be able to work with sequential shifting with the Fanatec shifter on ps4/5? Please hopefully soon had it since Jan and it’s sat in a cupboard

    thank you

  • This has nothing to do with Corsair. The issue is still fixed and still needs to be merged into the final release branch which currently is not happening due to everyone working on the disconnection issue fix of the CS DD. The fix will come, there is just still no ETA when the fix gets merged into the final release branch. Once the disconnection issue is fixed with confidence, then there might be some headroom again to merge such fixes to get something released to the public hopefully by the end of this year.

  • So much chat in this im so confused. Im having the disconnect issues with a GTDD8nm. I cant install the base/QR update posted on page one of this through driver 455. cant find 456/7 anywhere. Is there anything i can do to fix this issue now? i have league races i am worried to enter incase it disconnects

  • There are no known firmware problems regarding disconnections on CSL DD and GT DD Pro.

If you have disconnection issues with this bases, make sure the QR shaft is seated properly, try different USB cables on different USB ports and disable USB power saving for the device. If nothing helps, its a hardware issue and you should contact the support.
