Hello again. I have a question. Can you perhaps confirm whether the roadmap you gave with the Xbox SDK will remain the same or can you generally give a short roadmap or something like that for something that is coming up in the near future, so that we can see what might be being worked on or something like that. And I'm happy for all Fanatec employees that they can and are allowed to keep their jobs. And the thing about the roadmap is just a question of whether it might be possible to communicate something like that in the future?
no. but i think some info is still fully unclear if actually all steering wheels work correctly or not with that. if someone buy the CSL DD, user usually may not invest the very expensive steering wheels.
for example there are multi DD1/DD2 users already who complain issues with itm steering wheels, so there is also change that CSL DD users may have same similar issues
You yourself have been explaining to people that the disconnect issue is experienced by some CSL users has nothing to do with firmware. So why confuse the issue? Just because there may or may not be a problem you’re not aware of doesn’t mean he shouldn’t update his wheel.
@Hristo Goshev The information I have given is taken direct from advice given in this forum by the Fanatec employees who are here answering questions and giving support. Just because Allen thinks that a different wheel base has issues doesn’t mean yours will. However, if you did experience issues you can backdate the firmware.
We’ve had this discussion before. No I don’t work for them but I read what they write. You are just scare mongering, trying to tell people there may be an issue when all the issues reported surrounding the CSL are not related to 457 isn’t helpful to anyone. Yes we don’t know the full story of what is happening but I’d rather stick to the information provided by Fanatec than try to guess.
The rest of us come here to read the solutions that some colleague may have found and/or the new problems found. Honestly, nobody comes here to know Allan's opinion on each message.
If you want to give your opinion, open a blog or create a thread "Allan Letha's opinion" for whoever wants to read it, but leave the rest of the threads for what they are.
Yes there issues are with 457 but as stated by Fanatec’s own employees, those issues are centred around the CSDD, not the CSL DD. So for anyone using a CSL DD 457 is the best firmware for them. Stop misleading people. Yes there maybe bugs that affect the CSL but they will be minor compared to the issues in 455 and 456 when installed on the CSL. There were a lot of fixes included in 457 for issues that existed in the older firmwares. The only people who should exercise any caution with 457 are CSDD owners, as stated on page 1 of this very thread.
I am not sure this is the right place to ask for help but I try anyway. Since more than a month my CLS DD is giving problems, I don't know if this is due to update 457 or not. I've problems with the base, it stops working regardless of whether I am playing or not, it just stops working. I try to press the button to turn it off, but nothing happens. I unplug the USB and plug it back in, but it does not recognise the USB device. The only way I can turn it off and reboot is to cut/unplug the power. I tried everything, even to reinstall version 455 and others both on the PC and in the base. I tried to use another steering wheel, I tried to connect it to another PC and different USB ports in my PC, but nothing to do. I don't know what to do, can anyone help me? Thanks
Not sure if you’re serious or not but just in case. The only people who are actually qualified to help you in here are Maurice and Marcel. The main person who will answer you is Maurice.
PS5 Mode Disconnection Issue and CSL Pedals deadzone
Attached is a new CS DD(+) base firmware file 2.2.3.7
Fixed Disconnection Issues while using PS5 Mode
Fixed CSL Pedal (without Load Cell) dead zone
Known issue of this test firmware
In case you are already using the latest QR firmware from the first post, then after updating the base firmware attached here the steering wheel won't be recognized and a manual restart of the base is required. After this the wheel works normally. We are working on this to not be a think when the next driver gets available.

You are just injecting unwanted noise into this forum. Nobody wants to see or hear from you.
You're not an employee of Fanatec and have no knowledge of anything happening by Fanatec to improve the driver or solve issues.

Oh great 64 new posts.. Let's see what's happening in here.

Hello everyone, so is it now official that Fanatec is now part of Corsair?

Is it safe to install driver version 457 if you have a CSL DD 8Nm, my Fanalab says there's a new version but do I need 457 for it to work too?
457 is considered to be the best firmware for everything other the the CS DD’s so you should be ok to install it.
no, but in CSL DD i can confirm that it would work mostly ok
What do you mean mostly ok, have you found a bug?
