You usually can downgrade firmware when you install an older driver. It might be mandatory to „manually“ update firmware which is a small check box on top of the firmware updater
Hello everybody, i received my cs dd+ a week ago and for 3 days my wheel and my force feedback have been disconnecting every 2/3 turns, making it very difficult to enjoy a race. However, the pedals remain functional during disconnection as well as my shifter and my handbrake. Could this be a firmware issue? A connection problem between my qr2 and the base? If anyone has an idea 💡..
Can we get an update on the DD+ wheel disconnect issue? From what the moderators posted, it has been in every firmware release that supported the DD+ to a greater or lesser extent. Since it has been there from the beginning, are the developers sure it is firmware fixable? It is a totally new hardware design compared to their other wheel bases. Thanks. I am very nervous about my purchase.
The update was posted several times already: The issue is under investigation with high prio. The exact reason is still not totally known. Therefore the solution included in firmware of driver 456 was specifically mentioned as "potentially fixed".
A new attempt of a potential fix is targeted for the next release in March.
I don't think so, I played for 5 days without any problems. disconnections are random. I hope that this comes from the firmware, that it will be fixed with a future patch and not a problem of disconnection of the plug behind the qr2.
but to you register your product in console ? because someone say you need todo that, this his how PlayStation i think holds away the not licensed hardware's, it was a issue at least in ps4 and that's also reason why sony sued last year
It is not the driver i had it downgraded to 455 but the problem of losing ffb in game also there i iam really angry because before the update to 456 i had no issues at all and now all the time how can we fixed it asap!!!!
no, the disconnections started before the 456 driver. the force feedback disappears, the steering wheel screen turns off and comes back on a few seconds later but with display problems. 😔
just happens again in iRacing. Mid of AI Race the steering wheel rotates left and freeze with stay enabled display with latest infos. No Button works. Taking a look to driver again, and QR Firmware shows 0.0.0.0 (was 1.0.0.7 before) and Steering Wheel says "No Steering Wheel". Restarting the Base and everything works fine again... But I have to close and restart the control panel too, because it shows still QR 0.0.0.0 even when I restart the base. After restarting the control panel it shows the correct QR Version and steering wheel connected. But the steering was succesfully dedected from the Base before.
The Main Problem is, that the base & Driver lost the connection to the steering wheel, and why jumps the WQR Firmware Version to 0.0.0.0? My be it helps to find the bug.
Same wheel disconnect issue as everyone else on the CSLDD, and I can reproduce the problem by repeatedly testing the FFB while holding onto the wheel, but the problem started on driver version 455. I have updated to 456, BUT now I am not able to update the firmware on either my McLaren GT3 V2 wheel or my WRC wheel. This whole situation is worrisome. Sorry if I didn't follow forum rules to a t. I just want this figured out like everyone else...I have attached the latest log files.
Looking at your logs, it says that your flashing of the two wheels was done successfully on numerous occasions, even up to yesterday, so the wheel should have the latest firmware already, it just that the Fanatec Driver or Wheel / Base firmware just doesn't detect or display it correctly now because of a know issue that hopefully will be fixed in next version of Fanatec driver / Wheel FW.
The lose of FFB or buttons on wheel is more commonly related to:
1) The CSL DD wheel shaft slipping out of the internal USB-C connection inside the motor / base or the USB-C plug itself being actually damaged.
2) The Quick release "QR1" especially the "Lite plastic version" can have issues that allow small twisting movements in the wheel under hard forces that can shift any of the pins in the center of the main shaft to lose connection / power / Communications intermittently and cause the loss of FFB, buttons not working and other odd behavior.
3) There might also be a possibility that the Fanatec driver v456 has introduced a wheel disconnect issue now as it happened on my DD1 and Formula 1 v2 wheel just after updating to v456, when I had no problem like this previously.
You're 100% right on every count, thank you. It's a weird deal, it shows as firmware 0 for both wheels and sends them into an update loop. They both work just fine after some testing. As for the disconnects, I tightened the hex screw on the shaft clamp, and it seems to have solved it for now. I have no issue with excessive play in the QR Lite, oddly enough. The tolerances on my example of the product are pleasantly tight. I do know of the issues others have, though, so don't take my luck as a minimization of existing issues for other folks. Thanks again for your reply and for helping me understand the issue a bit better. Fingers crossed for anyone else experiencing issues.

It is under investigation with high Prio to be fixed in one of the next releases. No concrete ETA yet.

Does anyone pass on what I put in the video? that the steering wheel starts to vibrate so exaggeratedly?
Thank you so much
Thanks I downgrade the driver to 455 and wil try
Yes, i don’t think you can downgrade the firmware of the base/qr…

But are they pretty confident that it isn’t a hardware design problem? They are still selling the product so I hope that isn’t the case.
I cant say anything more othan than it is under investigation. Nothing to add to this statement at this very moment.
Okay, thank you for the quick response.
i think i hear something that you need register product or something like this at ps5 for able play normally

Clubsport DD+ is under Sony license. It worked very well for 5 days. the problem does not come from there. Does anyone have disconnections like me?
But thanks for your help Allan.
Sony had or have this feature what disconnects Hardware at update or something like this, and that happened with unlicensed products.
the only true license product is the Sony own Hardware.
i not own the ps5 but they to have option for register the product.
No, only the Sony Chip for PS5 Support and GT Steering Wheel is under Sony License.
if that issue continues with you device, you need contact with them
My steering wheel is the formula v2.5 and the bmw v2 gt2. Do you think it’s because of this? thanks for help
