I have tried adding ferrites to a short cable to try to eliminate the disconnects during the testing I did. Unfortunately it didn’t help. In fairness for now I’ve stopped testing (I have a combination of firmware where I only loose FFB for a second or two rather than a complete disconnect) because I’ve exhausted all the things I can come up with barring a communication issue caused by either firmware or hardware. Just hoping it’s not the latter.
only what i know is, that same freeze what people started talk very long time ago could also cause disconnect. the thing is when hardware turns into freeze position then data flow stops and usb data may not know anymore what todo and that causes a hardware disconnect
it could be also opposite ofcourse that first comes a disconnect and then user feels like hardware is freezen
Don't do it? Who are you? My teacher? I still had no disconnections using this switcher box after even more sessions. And fyi I use high quality cables. 15 meter powered USB repeater cable for two years now without issues. Added switcher box and 1 meter usb cable last week.
I ordered a CS DD+ from the Australian Fanatec website just on two weeks ago. Although showing as "available" and passed on to the warehouse there's no tracking number as yet. Wondering if there's a not in stock & supply issue or their being held back due to the issues being reported here. And therefore being delayed. This CS DD+ is to replace the defective (bricked) one I've since sent back. That order was shipped the next day.
I also think you are noise here so we agree on that at least. But I did scan some of the millions (or less) posts in the link you provided. One guy mentioned he tried a powered USB hub and that worked for him. As I wrote before I accidentally solved my disconnection issue by adding a (non powered) USB switcher.
So now there are at least 2 users who eliminated the problem by a hub or switcher. A hub or a switcher that's the same solution direction.
You asked why I am here after having solved my own disconnection problem. To help people, Allen. Help or annoy, that's the question :-) but I think I know what you are going to do next. I am gone now, I did my best here.
I like your reply, but I don't agree for the following reason:
The problems started suddenly, maybe due to a new driver. Most people did not change anything on the hardware side and everything worked just fine untill the problems started after changes on the software side.
Therefor I think it still is a software problem which might be contained, at least for me and one other gamer, by adding a USB hub or switcher. This is not an acceptable solution but a containment. A software solution has to be found.

usually its a promotion if you say hey this specific product fix the fanatec problem. don't to it. its not good at all
for example i never hear this SOUNIX or whatever it is
powered usb may fix for some the issue yes but it not need be a specific company one
also if you say its not powered hub what you have. then issue could be also bad filtering, either a cable or something else
because by default those things does have own filters inside
does all your usb cables even have ferrides ? because in marked there are allot without them
Will there be a similar Update for the GT DD Pro?

there are two different disconnects happen for users, some talk about Gran Turismo DD Pro
and some talk about the ClubSport DD+
for you ferrite may not help because like i understand you have ClubSport , but for him it may help
Fair enough.
to you have any vibration device? like pedals or steering wheel self? one guy literally post that for him that help when turning off the vibration
also i to want point out one thing if it was unclear, cables does need have ferrite one or another way,
even if it not help you for this issue those things are electric noise reducers and they help for some signal issues.
3 party cables may not even have those.
but as far i know fanatec original cables have them for all at-least in new products
It ok I’m aware they need them. It was just the fact the 3rd party cable I was testing didn’t have one so tested it with and without that’s all.

i guess ffb lose is better than complete disconnect.
are you play with max NM ? have you try lower the nm?

sure, sure whatever really. you posted, it helped for you, very nice. what you doing here then anymore?
its same old 457 driver section like it was before. where already people talk that for Gran Turismo DD Pro users the hub helped.
but same time there is also ClubSport DD+ users and for them it not help
if bother read those messages one by one then you know

It is annoying AF to have to filter through half a page of Allan bloviating, every page.

How is this related to this topic?
How? Is delivery being delayed due to firmware/hardware problems?
No.
OK.
…and with most of it being complete misinformation on the official Fanatec forums doesn’t help people looking for real help.… worst troll ever
i'm just a noise.
there clearly typed at first page, what you need try. if those none work you then you may have a issue.
they already tell that Devs are investigating, you cant find answers what you searching for

there is typed in first page, that you should try that. so yes it does indeed help some users
the problem is tho, if that actually help then we have issue with a hardware

usb hub have own chip inside what communicates with the other hardware's, that chip may avoid disconnect
yes it could be also firmware issue, because i been hear this freeze talks allot from people,
if something like this happens like freeze it just may disconnected the hardware.
but i think Devs are investigating.
You are just injecting unwanted noise into this forum.
You're not an employee of Fanatec and have no knowledge of anything happening by Fanatec to improve the driver or solve issues.
Hello,
Is it safe to update to 457 driver? or should i just stay with 455? i have gran turismo dd pro . Thanks in advance. :)
if you not see atm any issues, don't update just in case
🙉
at least i make a noise, it already stared feel to quiet
