Did you make sure your wheel base is in PC mode and Not Xbox mode??? After update your base will start in Xbox mode if you have a Xbox compatible rim on it.
No, the notchiness appears with any screen on the DD display, not only the graph.
I've just rolled back to driver v335 (64 bit) and flashed both firmwares. After re-calibration of the motor the notchiness when powered on has significantly reduced. It is not completely smooth though, however I can't tell if it is different to the first time running driver v335. Beta driver 352 was certainly smoother at first - until I got that strange FFB joint, after which anti-cogging seemed to stopped working. So it seems to be something with the firmwares that come with v352.
Quick question my dd2 just arrived. After reading all these pages I'm not sure what to do which driver or firmware to put on it. Some work some don't people roll back. Am I just better leaving it in the box for now and keep using my csw v2.5 till fanatec sort this mess out. Not really keen on bricking it or damaging it after paying a lot for it. Anyone shed some light on this for me please
hello, can somebody explain this to me, why can't i install motor firmware ?. I have csl elite base (xbox) I installed 346 drivers because I read on the forum that they are the best. but when I go into the fanatec wheel property page and choose update, I don't see the option update motor firmware, only what I have is update wheel base firmware. I will add that on the fanatec wheel properties tab I can see only PC driver and WB FW, I can't check my motor firmware.
Go back to driver v346/47 then the issue is not there :) Drivers 352/56 are mainly for the DD bases ;) I'm using driver v347, FW 664, motor FW 22 for my 2.5 WB, for me I see 0 issues :)
Looking in the back-mirror, this is exactly what I should have been thinking before I bought the Podium Porsche wheel for my DD1 PS4 with the Hub, Button Module Endurance and Advanced Shifter Module. I upgraded to v356 and installed the firmware for base, motor and wheel. It didn't work out as I hoped for so I had to send it to the Fanatec workshop. It came back repaired, with the v347 driver, apparently not a good driver or firmware. It acted weird so I tried installing v335 then v356 to end up with installing v347. Now it's acting weird again so now it is going back to the workshop again. I'm so sad I spent my money on a good looking product like the Podium Porsche wheel thinking that a beta driver would be ok. If I could just turn back time..... I'm happy that Fanatec support has been helpful so far, but I would surely wish I never went down the beta driver path. Then I would have had many more happy hours racing with my Fanatec gear instead of just looking at it or waiting for it to come back from the workshop.
Driver 356 and all associated firmware installed without any problems. A small 'clunk' when turning off the wheelbase, but i work around that by using the kill switch... Haven't tried Fanalab yet, want to make sure everything is stable for a few more days.
I am very interested in hearing from you. I have the same wheelbase and updated to the v356. The base started acting weird, fan speed 100% (even after updating the motor firmware), high speed movement of the wheel from time to time without touching the wheel and not in-game. No force feedback in GT Sport on PS4. I then downgraded to driver v335 and then the wheel disconnected from the wheelbase. Nothing showed in the display on the wheel and the buttons didn't work. I then updated to driver v347 as suggested by support which was really scaring me since I thought that driver was only for the CSL Elite PS4 Pro, but of course it didn't work. When installing driver v356 and updating the base firmware, the motor firmware shows as version 0 on the update page.
I would appreciate if you could give me a detailed explanation of exactly how you did the upgrade and installed the firmware? Did you just do exactly what was mentioned in the Instructions.txt of the Button-Module-Endurance-Software_Package_v1-2 package which Fanatec link to on the product page?
When did you buy your wheelbase? I am wondering if it has anything to do with hardware revisions, mine was preordered in the 1st batch december 2018.
I had also trepidation about installing driver 356 when I got my DD1 PS4 version. But I simply followed all of the instructions on-screen to the letter and did not deviate. I have been very pleased since. I know have better control and speed in GT Sport. The only thing I have done is change the settings to my taste.
I ordered my wheel on May 7, 2019 so quite possibly a newer batch than yours.
I uninstalled the old driver before I started. And I never installed driver 352 and associated firmware, I had an older version.
I followed the instructions in the txt file to the letter. I had the Formula V2 attached when installing the drivers and the base firmware, and I did not plug in the PBME until after I had updates the Podium Hub.
I have only used the base on PC, not on the PS4. Windows 10 1909 in case that matters.
well, i for once would love to see those Jolts and thumps fixed asap, they do not feel natural or healthy at all .... seems to me this is a subject that should have been adressed as a priority by Fanatec by now...

Did you remove the steering wheel first?

You need to remove any steering wheel for motor calibration only.
v335 is the last release driver. I'd go with that, unless you have hardware (Podium Hub, Endurance Button Module) that require one of the betas.
346 is much more stable than 335 and the best way to go if 356 is too risky for you.
Hello,
I have a CSW V2.5.
Is there a release date for a new firmware version?
Known Issues:
I'm waiting for this issue to be fixed...
Thanks!!!!!
