Known problem with the jolts. Are you using the 3rd screen which shows you the Nm in realtime? Try using the default screen with the Fanatec logo instead. This solved it for most of DD users including myself 😀
I didnt think about that. I may have been on one of those screens but cant remember because I race in VR anyway. I was playing around with it before the race, so that may have been the reason for it. Thanks for the heads up on that.
This has not worked for me. It would run but would error out between 0 to 20% completion. This is the second P_BME after he 1st one was sent back early January. Still working with tech support, to see if they can resolve it via new sofware updates rather than sending back (4+ weeks turnaround from Can-USA). Tried the software on multiple PC as they suggested, just don't have a spare Fanatec Wheelbase as another suggestion they had & different USB ports. Wondering if anybody has some suggestions? Bought it since Black Friday & never been able to use it as it was intended to be used.
Since a week or two after updating to the latest firmware my Porsche steering wheel sometimes (after 10-30 min) loose power during racing. Only solution is to pull the power plug. The reset button does nothing.
Really sorry to read that :-(. To which Hub is the BME attached and was that hub send to support as well? It could be that the communication is not forwarded properly by the Hub you've connected it to and it's a defect of that part instead.
It could be either of both in theory, only way to tell is either if more people report this starting with a specific firmware or when you go back to an older one and find out if it's not an issue there or still happening.
I have the same Issue when playing Assetto Corsa Competizione. Using Podium Racing Wheel F1 and also with the new Porsche Wheel with PBME. It happens randomly all few minutes with a loud noise. I had FF at 100% but decreasing it to 95% does not fix it. WB Settings: Sen 1080, FF 100, LIN off, NDP 25, NFR 0, NIN off, INT 3, FEI 100, FOR 100, SPR off, DPR 30, ABS off, SHO 100, MPS Const, BRF 60, InGame Settings: Gain 40, all other 0)
On the BME only ITM page 1 is enabled for the moment. You will see that the pages 2-5 are working quite bad on the DD ITM, therefore on the BME it was disabled for now.
Disabling ITM pages on WheelBase solves this problems for me :) I guess when the ITM Pages for RIM and WB are officially released this will also be resolved, hopefully ;) The ITM Pages on WB are really cool and i would love to use it more.
Maybe the LEDs are still controlled by the game and not FanaLab?
You need to use both green buttons on the Game Profile page to enable telemetry from the game to FanaLab and the second one to make sure only FanaLab is controlling the LEDs so there is no conflict with LED commands still coming from the game at the same time. This is a little bit different for each game but described by pop up messages if needed.
The buttons and compatibility mode display portions of this glorified button box have been finished already for the Podium base. Does it really take that long and that much effort to release the Clubsport firmware?
I've just applied for a refund for mine, all I wanted was basic funcationality ie the buttons to work. I don't care about the lights or the telemetry display. It's just frustrating having a wheel here that I can't use.
I was unaware of all these issues before purchasing this thing, looking at the website its sold as a finished product but as far as I can see we're all being used as beta testers which is not what is sold on there website.
It was stated that a firmware update for the CSW v2.5 is expected in Q1, not that it's guaranteed that a firmware update comes in Q1,so subject to change. Now compatibility is no longer only coming to CSW v2.5 but also other bases like CSL Elite PS4 (and maybe not even limited to Legacy Mode but full ITM mode but that's something I don't know for sure.) But, as I am no Fanatec official, you can always contact the Webshop directly to ask such a question.
BME unit is not compatible with the CSL base at the moment, I made the same mistake unfortunately we're still waiting for fanatec to release some firmware that enables the BMEs functionality.
Any idea when a new driver will be available, i have tried the latest BETA drivers and cannot update the motor firmware. i have to roll back to a version not supported by Fanalabs
I'm having some issues that i would like to know how can i handed it.
The LCD on the Podium Button Module it's starting to get dimmer from some days ago on the bottom left side.
The other is that the also in the podium button module, when i press the button nº 4 it acts normally alone , but when i press the button nº 2 it activates also the button nº 4 at the same time.

See discussion here:
Is this a known issue? I hope it's firmware related and not hardware related.

Hi everyone,
I just have installed my brand new Porsche's rim (APM+BME+PH) , updated everything and seems to work just right but I think I am missing something...
ITM in the rim seems to have just two profiles:
1 and legacy.
On the other hand, DD2 base can switch:
1,2,3,4,5 and legacy.
Is this working properly?
FanaLab 1.24
ITM reg key added.

Best,
Miguel / Nikos

It's far from finished for the podium bases as there are still lots of issues to fix.
So is the release for the CSW 2.5 delayed or still on time for Q1?
It's coming when it's ready, no ETA AFAIK other than later this year.
I've just applied for a refund for mine, all I wanted was basic funcationality ie the buttons to work. I don't care about the lights or the telemetry display. It's just frustrating having a wheel here that I can't use.

In which way does your wheel not work?
He has a ClubSport V2.5 and like mentioned on the shop page the BME is yet not supported by it means he can't use it.
I've got a CSL Elite, I know it states on there website it's not compatible but was unaware at the time of purchase.
Can I refund the bme since I bought it under the impression that it would come in Q1 as was stated on the website?
@Lukas, I think is better you contact the sales team. Don't thik here we can ask to that specific question, sorry.
It was stated that a firmware update for the CSW v2.5 is expected in Q1, not that it's guaranteed that a firmware update comes in Q1,so subject to change. Need some help here.
Ordered the Porsche GT3 wheel for my PS4 CSL base
So here is what i received:
Got everything connected, updated the latest firmware today, only the base firmware and motor are available to update
BME unit is not working, no lights, no response.
The PC propeties page shows the Xbox Universal Hub, but no mention of the BME
Question, how do i check that the BME is indeed functioning, or do i have a unit that is dead?
thanks
BME unit is not compatible with the CSL base at the moment, I made the same mistake unfortunately we're still waiting for fanatec to release some firmware that enables the BMEs functionality.
please re-read the product description of the product you purchased, especially the compatibility part...
The BME is NOT compatible with the CSL Base at this moment, but it will sometine in the future this year with a future firmware update.

The LCD sounds like a Hardware issue
The wrong button inputs of the Button Module are a known issue of the current driver.
