Just to confirm the PBME is still not supported on CSL Elite 1.0? Any idea when this will come? Interested in the 911 Rim but holding off until it's supported.
Probably never because support was only promised for CSW V2.5 and CSL Elite PS4, it was never promised it will come to CSW v2 and CSL Elite v1 which both use old electronics which are most likely not compatible with the advanced electronics of the BME.
I think that someone from Fanatec needs to answer me. It is the second time in 2 days that a bug causes me to loose victories in iRacing. Again, in the middle of the race the wheel didnt respond to my commands such as upshift or downshift. Everything was, at this point temporarly, solved after a quick shut down. Now can someone tell me what to do? Thanks.
If you are already on latest driver 373 with base firmware 674 and Wheel Firmware 35 and you still have Freezes, then it's most likely a hardware issue and you need to contact the support.
Thanks for the answer. I will contact them. I guess it is the rim, since during the freezes the display is still on and it signals correctly the speed. So it can’t be the DD1 base.
Thank you for the update. You may want to update the product page or at least clarify because the notes below is confusing:
Note: While the Podium Hub is fully supported by our CSL and ClubSport wheel bases, the Podium Button Module Endurance is currently only compatible with the Podium Series direct drive systems. Compatibility to other Fanatec wheel bases will be added in future firmware updates.
What's wrong there? It correctly states "other Fanatec Wheel bases". It doesn't particularly state which ones. It was only confirmed publicly that an update for CSW V2.5 and CSL Elite PS4 is coming, other bases like CSL v1 are unlikely but it will be looked into if it can be made at least partially compatible, but that's something for 2021.
I see now. I guess what is confusing to me is in the first sentence "While the Podium Hub is fully supported by our CSL and ClubSport wheel bases" it makes it sound like these will be part of the support in future update. But more closely reading it it's now clear with your guidance that this is not the case (at least for now). This is why I brought it up.
Guys I think that the issue of the freezing rim is due to software bugs. I am not the only one experiencing it recently. I saw other users reporting it just the previous page. The same exact issue.
It's actually more a hardware issue when you still have them on pc. Next driver gives only improvements to Freezes related to the Xbox mode, nothing for PC Freezes because all possible software side fixes are in the most recent firmware which is already available. So, it's highly unlikely to be a software issue but much more likely to be faulty hardware. If it would be software then everyone would suffer from that issue. And I got my last freeze over 3 months ago and not a single one since updating to driver 372 because that one fixed all possible software based freezing issues.
Same here. Installed it and the first freeze was after about 20 min, second freeze after about 2 hours testing. Less freezes than before, but definetly not fixed...
Yeah but here we are having the same issue all of sudden, with the same spec fo hardware: there are 2 possibilities: 1) Fanatec produced too much faulty hardwares 2) There is something in common that is creating the issue. The only thing that changed in my PC was RaceLab for iRacing and the recent patches of course. It still sounds strange that I was able to restart the wheel after just a quick restart. I opened a ticket anywait.
Do you have the vibration feature enabled in the iRacing options? There might be something wrong with that because freezing reports in iRacing started to rapidly increase with the launch of that feature so it might be that iRacing screwed up the integration.
Other than that it's still more likely to be a hardware issue, some kind of lose cable or so.
I have 2 issues to configure the endurance module.
Could you help me with this tricky configuration?
Regards Anthony
1.
I can't get the ITM pages to work on the endurance module but well on the wheel base (dd1).
I can navigate between the different ITM pages using tuning button and joystick) and it displays correctly on the wheel base but the screen of the endurance module remains on the legacy page.
This can also be seen in the fanalab ITM configuration. I have access to the wheel base option but not to the endurance module option.
Here are printscreens of the drivers/firmware versions.
2. I cannot use the MP1/MP2 controls of the endurance module. the 2 12 positions buttons.
For instance on ACC, I try to configure these buttons in the controls setup of the game to control ABS and TC. Everytime a turn the button, the control settings recognize either an upward or a downward movement (button 49/50) but not the position of the button. Let's say I want to put TC on 6, I would like to turn the button in the sixth position. In the game, nothing happens when I turn them...
You can't select the BME Pages in Fanalab yet because of a firmware issue which is going to be fixed next year.
For now you can only switch through the ITM pages on the BME as described in the Quick Guide by pressing and holding the Tuning Menu Button and then TURN the Funky switch left and right.
To use the MPS as you wish you have to set them to CONST mode. Sounds like you use AUTO or ENC.

ABS was replaced with BLI (Brake Level indicater) Inside the Driver Tuning Menu click "?" on righ to see full description :) Hope this helps

It’s renamed “BLI”

That’s what I did and guess what: they sent a new wheel base firmware to test ...

Guys does this thing happen to you all in iRacing? Because I struggle to believe that all of sudden all the hardware falls apart for everyone.

played ACC and F1 2020 only. Maybe i try iRacing in the next days
No I don’t have it on Fanalab. I’ll try to check everything these days.
I am talking about in game vibration, not Fanalab.
Where do I see that in iRacing?
In the options. It's enabled by default.
Thanks for the help. I’ll keep testing and let you know.
Joshua,
i've tried connecting the CSP v3 directly to the USB port and the freezes persist.
I think it is related with the menu of the base OLED screen.
Shortly before it froze the last 2 times I had selected the Motor Data Analysis Screen...
I'll keep testing it to see if I reach a conclusion. I'm using Fanalab 1.47 also.
Hi Olivier,
do you still have that issue or did you manage to understand what caused it?
I have the same exact issue, whatever happens shuts down the USB ports, so I have to restart the computer...
If you have a solution please send me a message.
Thanks,
Edgar.

Hey just wanted to say thanks to Maurice and everyone for the updated firmware and for everyone who tests. Successfully flashed my CSW V2.5.
Hoppe anyone who experienced issues can get them resolved asap.
https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/21305/wheel-inputs-stop-working#latest This guy had the same identical issue with a different wheel but the same software. I struggle to believe that at this point it is hardware related.
My V3 pedals are plugged into my base. Can they be updated without plugging them directly into my PC via USB? Do they even need to be updated? Thanks
