For me still doesn't work, when I play my career with custom team it loads Mercedes profile. Also when I do the challenges that uses road cars, it loads the road cars but than it stays there even though I'm on a F1, I have to manually load the profile, tried to uninstall fanalab, delete all related folders and start from scratch but its the same thing...
Can you please try the version Marcel posted some days ago (see link below)?
If its also not working with that version then we dont know what on your PC is blocking CDALP from working properly as its working fine for everyone else and just cant be reproduced at all so must be something on your PC then...
I'll try it, but blocking must not be the case, cause I use simhub, simhub is forwarding packets to fanalab, the same way I used it with F1 22, only thing thing I didn't try is to use it without simhub, but I'll try it too.
Ah that could explain it all. SimHub has some problems with F1 23 from what I have read in the past.
I dont know if they added proper support for F1 23 with the F1 23 UDP data in a recent version but some months ago they only supported F1 23 with the "old" F1 22 UDP data which is then (of course) not compatible with FanaLab as FanaLab runs natively with the F1 23 UDP data.
Workaround would be to set the UDP data in game to F1 22 (which FanaLab also supports) to gain support with SimHub + FanaLab again.
Tested... for the matter SimHub fully supports F1 23 with 23UDP.
test method...
Time Trial, if i enter with 23 car custom it loads Mercedes profile, than enter with supercar and it loads ok, after enter with f1 23 custom it wont load any profile, stays on super car, if enter with f1 23 car redbull mercedes whatever it loads f1 23 career & MP & TT profile...
only thing left to do is unistall f1 23 and install again.
Do you mean the F1 World car? It seems the car ID was changed post launch, therefore that car doesnt get loaded correct atm, all other cars should load fine though.
In fact I just tested the exact scenario you described, with corrected car ID for the F1 World car, and its working perfectly fine all the time.
Note that FanaLab differentiates between Singleplayer / Gran Prix Mode and Multiplayer, Career and Time Trial Modes as in Multiplayer, Career and TT the cars in game use a complete different LED pattern which makes it necessary to load different profiles for those cars in those modes. If you use my profiles, then its actually even CORRECT if the general career & MP & TT profile gets loaded in Time Trial as I have bound ALL Multiplayer / Career / TT cars to that one profile. So that would be no issue but totally intended as it indeed should load exactly that profile and NOT the redbull, mercedes or whatever profile as those profiles are for Singleplayer ONLY.
I think the best for you would be to unbind all cars from the profiles and start completely from scratch by binding all cars again to the profile you want. Its easy and quick, just takes 1 minute. Alternatively attached also a new ProfileCarsList_F1_23 to get the new car ID directly bound to the profile.
Here the "corrected" CarsList.
Installation instructions: In your Documents folder you will find a folder called "Fanatec". In this folder is another folder called "Update". Simply extract the attached CarsList_F1_23.zip and copy/paste the included new xml file into that "Update" folder with FanaLab being closed. On the next start of FanaLab it will update the cars list.
And PLEASE, test without SimHub as we do not officially support cross-compatibility with other softwares!
To explain again which of my profiles should get loaded when (only applicable for the F1 profiles, F2 and Supercar profiles should always load in all modes):
In Grand Prix Mode the actual profile of the car should get loaded, so when you drive the Mercedes then the Mercedes profile should get loaded, when you drive the F1 World Car then the F1 World Car profile should get loaded. Thats because in this mode every car uses its own LED pattern.
In almost every other mode like Career, Time Trial or Multiplayer its actually intended that the general "F1 23 Career & MP & TT" profile gets loaded no matter which of the F1 cars you load as they all share the same LED pattern in those modes so they dont need a separate profile.
you've found part of the problem... in TT it seems everything is working.
on career - My Team (meaning custom car) first time you start the game it will load mercedes profile, if you have a challenge with a supercar it will change to the correct supercar but it wont revert to f1 car after that, so maybe the ID for the custom car in my team is also wrong.
Do you think you'll be making a profile for the new Super Formula series in iRacing? I know it just got announced just checking if you were plannning on creating a profile for it and a timeframe. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you Maurice for your profiles, I discovered them recently and started using them with my csl dd on iRacing, I only made a few modifications on the force and I must say they are perfect.
I'm afraid that just modifying the strength isn't enough, I've tested it and it's better to use recommended default settings of the csldd. Just my opinion.
it's very subjective, compared to Maurice's profiles I only changed the FFB to 100, the FEI I left at 80 and I feel really good, I am much more constant than before.
Also, this profile I just showed you is very similar to the one recommended by Fanatec.
Hi there any recommendations for profiles or settings for the sf23 and 296? Running the dd2 understand if there is no profiles currently available but a bench mark would be great
I'm just learning the car, but what I've been doing is set the bite point at 60. Go half throttle, second gear, and when the lights go green, release one clutch, then kind of feather the other clutch and the throttle to try to avoid too much wheelspin. Then do your best to avoid all the cars that crash right in front of you (week 13 fun - haha!), and go from there. :)
If you learn a better way to launch, please post back!
Whatever the setting is on the profiles I said to start with. Sometimes I drop them a bit, and I'm even on a DD1, so I guess I like a bit less force than Maurice does ha!
Thank you Marcel. The build that you provided seems to do the trick. I've used it for the past 2 days without a crashed. I was traveling before I and couldn't test it.
Hello, I want to create a profile for the new Ferrari and the superformula, but when I try to assign a custom car, it does not detect any new car, so I cannot assign any profile to be loaded automatically. I use V 1.99.05
Thats because the new cars are not included in the current public FanaLab version but are only coming with the next FanaLab version.
Until then you can already update the CarsList with the one attached below which includes the new cars
Acura ARX-06 GTP
Ferrari 296 GT3
NASCAR Legends Pontiac Grand Prix - 1987
Porsche 963 GTP
Super Formula SF23 - Toyota
already by following these instructions:
In your Documents folder you will find a folder called "Fanatec". In this folder is another folder called "Update". Simply extract the attached CarsList_iRacing.zip and copy/paste the included new xml file into that "Update" folder with FanaLab being closed. On the next start of FanaLab it will update the cars list.
Just open the Car List in FanaLab and scroll through the list until you find them - Acura should be on the very top of the list. If not, then you did something wrong with the copy/paste / update stuff.
Otherwise please wait for the next FanaLab version.

Hi,
Finally got time to test it...

But yes, to make sure please test without SimHub.
side question... why you don't implement a telemetry hub like simhub?
Cant speak for the devs but that's not planned AFAIK as it's not how FanaLab is intended to work, beside that it sounds easier than it is ;)
Tested... for the matter SimHub fully supports F1 23 with 23UDP.

Alright, found it, that car got a separate ID in My Team Career Mode.
Added in this list and bound to profile.
Can you give it another try? Now it should work.
Finally!!! Yeah, i think everything is ok now! Thank you very much! if i find anything else i'll let you know...
Glad to read that everything is working now :)
Do you think you'll be making a profile for the new Super Formula series in iRacing? I know it just got announced just checking if you were plannning on creating a profile for it and a timeframe. Thanks for all your hard work!
Yes, there will be profiles for the SF23 as well as the 296 GT3, the 963 GTP and the Acura GTP ;)
But only once the next FanaLab version gets released as profiles I currently make are incompatible with the current public version ;)
Thank you Maurice for your profiles, I discovered them recently and started using them with my csl dd on iRacing, I only made a few modifications on the force and I must say they are perfect.
With your profiles I can be much more consistent.
Thanks again

Hi there any recommendations for profiles or settings for the sf23 and 296? Running the dd2 understand if there is no profiles currently available but a bench mark would be great
Here's what I'm working with at the moment -
SF23 - start with Mercedes W13 profile, change INT 7, FEI 70, car setting 58 | 15Nm
296 - start with 488 GT3 Evo profile, change car setting 45 | 15Nm
Disabled rev LEDs on both for the moment until I either get more time to work on them, or Maurice comes out with his. :)
Do you know the optimal way to launch the SF23? Is there a bite point setting it should have or?
I'm just learning the car, but what I've been doing is set the bite point at 60. Go half throttle, second gear, and when the lights go green, release one clutch, then kind of feather the other clutch and the throttle to try to avoid too much wheelspin. Thanks Greg what ffb would you use on the dd2 for your settings
Whatever the setting is on the profiles I said to start with. Sometimes I drop them a bit, and I'm even on a DD1, so I guess I like a bit less force than Maurice does ha!

Hi Maurice,
sorry but it doesnt show me those cars you mentioned ... I have also try it and copy that file in:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\xml.
and I can not find those cars in it :(
They are there.
Just open the Car List in FanaLab and scroll through the list until you find them - Acura should be on the very top of the list. If not, then you did something wrong with the copy/paste / update stuff.
Otherwise please wait for the next FanaLab version.
