What's your egg thing mean?
Its a german phrase for "it is not exactly brilliant"
Just got my CSL DD on the 24th. I do ACC exclusively, and it never felt right on the recommended settings... I could handle the car much better with the CSL Elite, so it was really frustrating. After hours of changing settings, I finally realized that it's the recommended setting of 50% on the damper that's wrong. Once I set it on 100% everything fell into place. Why is Fanatec recommending 50% for this setting?
Totally agree with you, Fanatec I believe have said they are going to be revisiting the settings after 1.8 update came out some where in this thread.
Why, or how you guys put in game FFBs?
I have set my CSL DD like in front page of this topic, and in game gain 60, damping 30 and dynamic damping 100 it feels good. If I put more damper in base it feels I turn wheel in butter or in thick oil. so fast corrections wont be fast.
Did you get any further with this I have the exact same problem
I believe he wound up deleting his ACC folder in My Documents or similar. Read further on after your quote, pretty sure the answer is in there somewhere, I just don't remember the exact solution.
Anyone here with a CSW 2.5 who feels a difference between 0 and 100 % damper(the new setting) in ACC ? Its not a big deal, because it feels like it should(i think) but its a bit weird to have this slider which does nothing
The new Damper Slider only works when you use DPR in the Tuning Menu. If it's set to OFF then the new Damper Slider in game has no effect.
hm, ok, DPR is on 100%, so ... ?
Driver 434, I would put DPR to 80-100 and ingame damper to 0-30. Try to tap the wheel on straight when going over 150km/h and if it doesnt oscillate and feels still fast for corrections (Maybe test on Barcelona last chicane) then its ok.
Hello Maurice Böschen,
you may include all of these variations in your ACC files
so as to be able to try all the differences involved and simplify everyone's life, so as to understand what is the ideal solution for the different dd1 dd2 ect, for all less experienced people such as myself,
thanks for the wonderful help you always give ..... greetings
Thanks but, No, I wont.
I absolutely dislike the new ingame damper, it works horrible, makes the steering sluggish and slow and very very rough and noisy.
I can only recommend to NOT use it. NDP of 15-25 is more than enough.
Therefore I will definitely not include in game damper in my profiles / txt explanation file with in game settings but I list it with 0%.
As mentioned, initially I re-installed the whole sim. But for some reason, ACC updates kept knobbling the FFB back to defaults so now, I just delete
C:\Users\username\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config\ffbUserSettings. Even though that file has only one solitary command in it, its the one that will alter the ffb feel. It then needs to be properly dialled in through the wheelbase.
I've managed to get mine feeling pretty good but also keeping ffb at a comfortable level (peaking at around 10nm at monza). MY new wheelbase settings are nothing like the old ones (prior to 1.8). If i'd kept the old settings, the car would feel very numb. It does seem to take an age to dial in after 1.8 though so patience is key.
What is meant with your profiles/txt ? recommended settings on page 1 ?
Can you post here then I can also share my settings. :)
Houston I have a problem
I come from CSW Base and have now DD2.
Everything up to date and I use your recommendet settings.
My problem: I feel nothing but wheel wants to get back in center position.
With CSW Base I could feel everything
-loss of grip
I mean, I really could feel the car.
With DD2 nothing of that. It feels like a non FFB wheel with a strong spring for centering. Why? Where could I´ve gone wrong in setup
You have installed the driver?!
Sure. As said all up to date. Pics are my current setup where I feel at least a little bit of the car.
Let me be more precise after i´ve driven it for some hours.
Steering forces (front axle) are so dominant, that I feel almost nothing else the car is doing.
Rear end stepping out, I can see it, but I can´t feel it.
Left front tire locking, I can hear it, but I can´t feel it.
Spinning wheels and car goin sideways on a drag start, I can see and hear it, but I can´t feel it.
Weight shift, feel nothing at all.
All this I could feel with CSW Base
So, to round it up: How can I get from a front dominated feel to an all car feel?
My test track is RedBull Ring and car a Nismo GTR-R Gt3 as I did hundreds of races there.
On average I´m 1sek slower per lap with new DD2 compared to CSW Base and really slow when tires are gone as I absolutely cannot feel when on limit.
About me: I´m 61 years old, AC for +10.000hrs, and usually min. top 5 whatever server I join.
Atm driving a lot GT3, but most km I´ve driven on Nord prefering manual cars like F40, Ruf, Cobra, E30 etc.
hello maybe someone can help me I have recently the podium button endurance I would like to know how to have the same display let's say to the one in the picture on the site with various times and gaps? unfortunately I only have gear and speed I have a cld dd as a base
You need Fanalab and Enable the ITM.
unfortunately I have never used fanalab or installed it the only solution? I'm not very practical unfortunately
Yes, Fanalab is the only way to get the ITM working.
I understand .. I tried to install it hoping not to mess up ... in case which version should I choose?
1.61.3 when you use driver 434.
yes I have the latest 434 drivers installed! thank you you have been kind! last thing just download it on the pc and find a way to activate what you told me? it does not conflict with official fanatec software or anything else .. I repeat, I am a bit inexperienced I would not want to mess up
Yes, you're good to go.
hello I downloaded today for the first time fanalab even though I have owned the fanatec products for a long time ... I wanted to know where I can find the settings for the race set-up I state that in the tuning menu I have set the Values frozen by fantec thanks
Is it normal for the gaps to not appear on the podium button module despite the activation of ITM in the race setting?
Yes, not supported.
