As I continue to read along, I see that the issues increment and get worse. I am having these issue, it completely messed up my setup and I had it perfect. (what now)
V3 Pedals not registering in my DD1 base. had to directly connect it to my pc.
The most important, when over steering and steering to the opposite direction, very loose no feel for grip now.
The general feel of the steering wheel is loose, had to increase from a 30% FFB to 50 to 60% now, and some of the effects are not as good as they were before.
V3 Motors dont work properly, diable some features and they still work and the one that I want Rev limiter vibration doesnt work
I do want to say thanks for trying to improve the product, fanatec makes good and realistic product, I personally would like something that is
Yes, someone else mentioned that and I tried it with the same result, it worked perfectly without any jolts on the fanatec logo. When I have it on the temps screen I get regular jolts.
Only driver. After I determined it made any kickbacks as I would expect them to be, I then reduced in FanaLab the damping and interpolation values that I had jacked up.

Just a short report:
Yesterday, for the first time, my DD1 suddenly completely freezed! I couldn't use any Buttons and I wasn't able to shut the base off without unplugging the power cable. Never had this issue with previous drivers and firmwares since I have my DD1.
Additionally the Property Page also was not accessible and freezed. After restart everything went normally again.
This happened while ingame, Fanatec Logo on the OLED and ITM Page 1 on the BME.
Same here. I tried the BME Software Package earlier with the 352 driver and around two weeks ago with v356. While driving the wheel (DD1 with Podium Porsche) suddenly turned with high force to the right and didn't react on any input so that I had to pull the plug. I mainly use Raceroom so it happened twice there. It's not reliable to drive league races like this so I rolled back the drivers and never had this issue earlier or after the rollback. Of course I'm not using the Podium Porsche wheel because I can't. Btw. I'm also experiencing the sudden jolts (on a straight track without bumps) and it feels grainy what it doesn't with the old fw and drivers.
FWIW Race Room is My main Racing Sim also.... I too have had this happen with Race Room and other games... Its very Rare and Very Random....My DD2 I'm Currently using Dr 356 with the PBME but it has happened with My Xbox Hub also...I don't particularly think its a Fanatec Dr/Fw Issue because I use My DD2 4-->5hrs a day and it performs flawless.... Usually when this random loss of function happens its after a Game or PC update then a few days later a Hot Fix comes out and I go weeks before the Next Random wheel event... It may be even just a Random PC Glitch....Who knows....but after a Wheel and PC Restart everything functions as Normal... If it were a Dr/Fw issue it would be a constant Reoccurring daily issue.
See post January 3 in the "Podium Button Module Endurance Software Package v1.2 [Incl. Instructions]" forum. Yes I always use the ITM with the Button Module.
It's coming up on a month since the last update... is there any update on finding/fixing root cause for the existing issues (esp. jolts and clunking noise)?
I agree as well and we are working on it. I expect new firmware at the end of the month so we can upload a new driver with them beginning of March if there are no unexpected deal breakers. A rough preview below.
Jolts/cogging when analysis screen is active (knock when turning off not yet but also isn't affecting usability or durability)
CSW/CSL drift mode issues
BME bug fixes for example joystick and encoder inputs
ITM bug fixes (FanaLab is in parallel also working on lots of ITM improvements which are not firmware related)

Have you received your replacement yet? And is it in proper order as you expect or did you receive a refurbished unit?
Which driver should I use to win more races? 😀
Find a friend/driver who's lots faster than you. 😃😃
So I got back to my DD1 after building my new Rig together yesterday.
I also tested the different screens on the OLED regarding the jolts and I can confirm that I didnt get a jolt once when on the Fanatec logo screen :)

Pleased to report ill spikes removed.
How did you remove spikes? Did you do a reinstall of driver and firmware or did it just work the first time you installed everything?

something that is more consistent. (is what it said)

I had this happen with the previous driver, and happened only once.
Thank you for the feedback Lorell :) I had this freeze right after a windows update, so it might be the reason for it. No problem since then, again :D
Just happened for me with the latest driver, but as there were no firmware updates it kinda relates to the same I guess.
Could be a hickup in the ITM causing that but not sure.
Did you also have the ITM running?
Was it as well with the Button Module and ITM?
Thanks for those reports, please keep me posted about if this happens again and if you can see a relation to anything
I started R3E via Fanalab and can remember the ITM icon in the display. To be frank I'm not sure what you mean exactly with running. Maybe it also makes sense to include those guys as the issue sounds very similar https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/1685/podium-dd1-is-desactivated-while-playing-assetto-corsa#latest
Let me know if I should test any special scenario

+1. Would love to see new firmwares which add nothing new, but rather fix some if not all the issues we have with the current driver packages 😀
I couldn't agree more 👍👍👍🏁🏎️

Thanks for the update! I’ll keep an eye out for this.
Hope will be soon
As You see, hopefully beginning of March, so 2 or 3 weeks.
As soon as possible😁
It should be good for the CSW2.5....Also be good to start using FanaLab too, nice one thanks ;)
